Would you rather have a house, condo, or apartment.

I think I'd rather own a house or a condo since it allows true ownership. If I own a house I would prefer it be somewhat contemporary, but I'm flexible. A condo would have to be located in a nice area of the city that isn't downtown but still not too far from necessities and stuff. You?

in a condo you only own what's inside the walls, its like a bastard of a house in a Homeowner Association and an apartment.

To be honest I'm not a person who needs a house. I only need one room one bath. I don't think a house is something I'm willing to invest in if I don't use 80% of it.

Depends, if I live alone, an apartment. A lot less maintenance, no lawncare, very compact and nice. I won't get it in some minority riddled neighborhood, mind you. It will be a nice one.

If I am with someone for enough time that we live together, and kids are in some kind of future, then of course a house. I own it, don't have to hear noise from fags neighbors, a lawn for them to play, a lot bigger with space for everyone. In a white neighborhood with no direct black or other minority neighbors, close to a good school.

Condos sound like a scam, always.

While I'm still young I wouldn't mind living in an apartment just so I could get to know more people. I'd enjoy living in a house later in life because it would be more spacious.

But really though I think I can be content living just about anywhere. Right now I'm living in a dorm and I'm starting to love it here.

I've always wanted a condo because it usually implies a pretty neat location as far as I know. I'm not too needy so a smaller space is fine. Think the captain's quarters in eve online. Perfect space imo. But my understanding is that, as a result of their locations, condos can be damn expensive.

Apartments are great since they sort of force you to keep light on your belongings, since to me apartments imply that you are not there to stay.

Ultimately though I'll probably end up in a house. My SO and I have some fantasies about getting away from urban areas and having just a bit of land to go with it, since many CS jobs are trending to allow telecommuting anyways. It allows for quiet, clean air, and space for a garden/animals if we want them. Could be cheaper too. All around probably the best option for us.
