Because some discussion gets boring or it just seems pointless to reply. Also there are times when I want to leave a long winded response and go into detail and then right after typing it out, I decide to forget about it.

I mean why waste the effort in getting into a conflict that is not worth your time and will just depress you.

sometimes when i dont respond to replies it's usually due to the fact that i dont feel like going into some sort debate, or i dont feel like elaborating/justifying on what i said.

I don't like arguing, and I have a bad habit of getting unreasonably frustrated when an argument gets monotonous. Instead of waiting to be frustrated, I just try not to argue at all.

I honestly just don't feel like shit flinging. I mean, you gotta analyze their arguments, use at least 3 swears that haven't already been mentioned, and structure your remark in a way that completely discredits everything the other user says, and that's a lot of effort.
