Discuss. Do you think it has a place in culture today? Do you think it is necessary or soon will be?

Just for now, lets start out with dedicated vigilantes; people who actually devote their lives to this practice.

...to an extent.  If they're stopping an armed robbery in the absence of police or protecting their fellow citizens from harm, then that's fine.

But if they decide to go out on a lynching spree on people they believe are guilty, like the threats against Zimmerman (and yes, I hate the bastard but he will eventually fuck up) and go around killing people, then that's where the fine line is drawn.
