Nice, I'm hoping to be there in a while. What does he have his PhD in?

I knew he graduated, but I never paid attention to the details.Graduating and getting a doctorate's aren't the same thing though. And I just found out you apparently don't need a PhD to teach at American colleges, so maybe he doesn't need one.

Wow... feel old yet?
One of the things that sucks about being an adult is watching your former peers lead much more successful lives than you.
I don't get jealous of people who are more successful than me. Instead, I see them as a source of inspiration and admiration.

Some people get the easy ride when for others it's a constant uphill battle. While I've come to terms with that, it still gets me in a mood sometimes. That's pretty much all there is to it.

My dad worked in a call center for Chase answering calls on accounts of deceased card holders (kind of ironic), his beat friends practically brothers (I called them uncles), one was a industrial engineer that traveled the world and made six digits and the other was a college professor who teaches a electronics class I think. They never once expressed anything negative about each others career choices, friends will support your decisions and never gloat about theirs or demean you. I work for Disney, barely making above minimum wage, my oldest brother works at a warehouse for some shipping company in Cincinnati making about five bucks more, and my second oldest works for a video equipment rental company in Jersey making triple both me and the oldest make, none of us have finished college. But we're at least happy and have goals on where we want to go. Now my mom's family....if you don't graduate with a masters and get a job making AT LEAST 60k a year they get pissed. Me and one of my cousins are a huge disappointment in their eyes because we aren't in college.
