A lucid dream is the ability to control your dream.

I think it's a lot more than that. Because if it's just the ability to control it, every single dream I've ever had has been a lucid one.

If you want to trick yourself into having one then set your alarm for a bit earlier than you usually do. Wake up while dreaming then fall back asleep and start again. After you try this a few times it becomes easier to realize when you're dreaming and then things start to go lucid.

I've had many throughout my life. A few times with sleep paralysis.

Not really. I've realized that I was dreaming in a dream a few times, but that usually woke me up right away, and the one time it didn't my brother getting himself ready for school did.

It's not really like I want to bother with lucid dreaming though, they say it affects the quality of your sleep. I've got enough issues with that as is.

Yes, it was awesome. I could run fast, go anywhere I wanted, jump high. It was a lot like a video game.

I sometimes get lucid dreams.
It's very infrequent, as I usually wake up a little while after realizing.

I do hate sleep paralysis. Even though it only happens to me once in a blue moon, it's just this odd sensation where I feel like my mind is trapped inside my body for 10-15 seconds and I can't do anything.
Then I wake up and everything's peachy.
