to get a driving license in the UK you have to do 2 things.
Pass your theory test.
Pass your practical test.

Practical is literal driving, you have lesson, then take a practical test.

Theory is made up of two parts, you have a theory test, where you answer general driving quesitons, and the second part is a hazard awareness test, where you watch videos and identify potential driving hazards.

You have to pass your theory test before you can try your practical
