you have no idea what emulation is if you think it's in any way related to theft

it's also completely legal as demonstrated in Sony vs Bleem!.

emulation isn't piracy
yet, in this case, it requires piracy to happen

making it illegal by proxy

yes it does

even if everything you're saying is true, you'd still be a cunt who should be raped in prison for what should legally be considered theft by any rational person

to legally play games? you'd kind of have to unless they're a gift.

well yeah, you have to buy the game to play it legally. depending on the emulator (and the environment you're emulating) you can either just pop the disk into your pc or dump the data onto it for a digital back up. both of which are completely legal.

did you know that i don't care, because ethics overlap law

you're still a thief by any rationally ethical definition, and that's terrible

except not. as long as none of the code was stolen in making the emulator that's simulating the environment of a Nintendo console nothing has been stolen. i'm not seeing why it's a big deal if someone chooses to play their legally purchased game on a different platform. i mean it's not as if they're actually stealing anything. if anything it just inflates the sales for that game.

nothing has been stolen, but you're still the ethical equivalent of a thief

either pay $300 for a switch or wii u, or go fuck yourself

i'm not seeing how legally purchasing something from an authorized retailer is the ethical equivalent of being a thief, but ok.

because it's like stealing a wii u

if you don't have a legally-purchased wii u, yet you're playing the game, it's like having a stolen wii u

it's nothing like stealing a wii u. it's using a different product that functions similar to a wii u. this kind of thing is pretty common in other industries. for example all those home brands that stores sell are 99.9% the same as name brands. do you have a problem with those too?
