there was a panel at DragonCon about BDSM and they mentioned switches. If you're not naturally dominant there is a way to learn to be dominant you just have to have a patient partner who's willing to work with you. Or you know there are videos on the internet...

Takes time. You transition in baby steps. The hard part is learning to take control when the other party goes submissive. Not just dominance, but the timing and all that. You can't rush it or you're just beating someone in a sexual way. For true BDSM you take your time and use anticipation most of all. That's the hard part. Letting it build until she feels the spank before you deliver it. When you're the sub, you get to experience it, delivering it is harder.
