Mine is Wolf's Rain. I know there's a lot of grey and dreariness, but it adds really well to the apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic theme.

I'd say overall, Shaft's Monogatari stuff is my favourite.

David Productions JJBA stuff is really great too, I think they went overkill a little for part three however.

Trigger's style is interesting. I liked their pre-Trigger work on TTGL and Kill la Kill/Little Witch Academia worked brilliantly for them.

Other stuff... I liked Code Geass's artstyle, the angular characters are odd in the world of moe.
Honourable mentions go to Ufotable (when they have a budget), Madhouse for No Game No Life and White Fox (who I have never heard of before) for Akame ga Kill, which has an artsyle that I really adore for a reason I can't put a finger on.

The story was good, the Count really made the anime, not sure how well it follow the story of The Count of Monte Cristo considering I never knew the story existed. Plot, was well done, with the Count himself being a kind of chess master character. All in all, its worth a watch, a side note, the main protagonist is an idiot.

Sword of The Stranger, easily one of the best animated movies full of pure action that I've ever watched, there is so much detail put in every fight, and it's so fluent... it works perfectly.

You can add unlimited blade works to the Ufotable section. It came out today and the animation is every bit as good as Fate/Zero.
