Get of my lawn
http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-uber-rider-arrested-20151101-story.html

Here's the tl;dr version:

This guy gets a ride from an Uber driver. He's an asshole and attacks the driver. The driver uploaded the attack on YouTube, where the passenger is identified as a marketing manager for Taco Bell. He gets canned.

Now, it was not to or from a company function. He wasn't yelling anything that would tie him to Taco Bell corporate.

Should he have been canned?

Excuse me, I'm full of dog poison
Absolutely not. Unless he went to jail and they have a policy for that.

I would say absolutely not, but unfortunately, when you take a high-end job in today's world you kinda just have to accept that you're on the clock at all times. You have to represent the company. I hate this model of business, but it's there, and the Taco Bell guy knew that.

well, sorta. unless he went to jail for doing it then yea he deserves it. but being a rep of a big company really makes you think twice of what you do.

It's up to the company, really. Should that be a legal consequence? Absolutely not. But if a company consider this to be something they don't their employees to do, then so be it.

Rule #1: don't be a dick.

His eyebrows sparkling, his white beard hangs down to his chest. The thatched mats, spread outside his chise, spread softly, his splendid attos. He polishes, cross-legged, his makiri, with his eyes completely absorbed.

He is Ainu.

The god of Ainu Mosir, Ae-Oine Kamuy, descendant of Okiku-Rumi, He perishes, a living corpse. The summers day, the white sunlight, unabrushed, ends simply through his breath alone.
That depends. Did he sign a contract saying that he is responsible for maintaining Taco Bell's public image? He probably did, because even cashiers at K-Mart and Target have to sign that shit, much less a marketing manager (given the PR nature of the job). If he broke contract, there's reason; even if he didn't, it might have been an At Will position.

Did he get fired or was he forced to quit? There's a difference.
