They're a sort of in-between roll of a normal member and a Ninja. Primarily, they're going to work a lot like the Mentors on B.lind (moving/pinning threads and maybe even locking them). And since we have the "first post moderated" rule, where a new user's first post must be approved before they can post freely, they'll also help out with that.

We don't really need them yet, but it's best to be prepared for when and if we get a larger member pool posting on the forums.

More than a few new users were sending me PMs complaining about the email activation system and the URLs either being confusing or not working. In the past, email activation was a good method of making sure a user is genuine as well as keeping bots from flooding registration. Nowadays, there are disposable email addresses and you can sign up for a legitimate one in under five minutes, so I threw out that system and only require new users answer the security questions and have their first post moderated.
