(Take note that I haven't actually seen it myself and am just basing this off what I've been told.)

Pretty much it's all of the good things about Death Note put into a series about terrorists with Giant Robots. And the ending is amazing.

Pretty much it's all of the good things about Death Note put into a series about terrorists with Giant Robots. And the ending is amazing.

First, your favorite anime is always shit. Why? Because opinions are like assholes, everybody had one. There is no universally liked anime. Get over it.

That being said, if you dislike an anime and start laying into it you better be sure you know what you're talking about. Otherwise the people who like it have every right to call you an idiot and disregard your opinion.

Second, don't be a secondary. Read your source material of you can. If you're going to be a secondary anyway don't get upset when a primary corrects your wrong statements.

For example, if you start raving about the canon breaking season 2 of DxD Tru might fly in here and smack your ass with a hot iron.



Now for something more on topic

Miura is a hack that has trouble adapting anything with a little bit of depth. See the botchjob that was KnK 6 or the character development on UBW. Don't expect the HF movie to be any better in that department under him.

That being said it's probably the best adaptation we'll get out of F/SN. You need all three parts to get a complete story and it was written in a time where people were taking advantage of their medium instead of trying to write in an anime adaptation friendly manner in hopes that some producer somewhere will pick it up.
