its got some cool easter eggs. the main character wears a lot of outfits inspired by outfits worn by nico robin from one piece.

The ending was strangely set up, so I'm not sure what to make of it.

hunterxhunter is literally the best shonen anime or whatever you call the naruto-bleach-DragonBallZ fighting style type of anime there is. Not only do we get good psychology behind characters, but the world it's set in has a lot of potential for so much greatness. Let's not forget the main selling point which is the fighting that truly captures what a fight is all about; understanding your enemy's weakness and using it to crush them.

The anime has layers upon layers of complexity, a feat most animes fail to achieve.
