Unfinished doodle of a Black Templar I made on the back of a note card about a month ago. Drawing again reminded me of my weaknesses. I apply too much force on my pencil, making erasing much more difficult, due to the graphite smearing. Furthermore, I am definitely a perfectionist, and will start with something like a helmet and spend an enormous amount of time getting it looking as perfect as possible, before doing anything else. Your shading is good, but the lines, and proportions in general are kind of inconsistent. As for the details, that's more up to the artist, but if you were explicitly drawing a Black Templar, rather than just a black space marine, the details aren't very Templar-y. The gold trim is a bit too fluid and "swirly" I suppose. Looks vaguely Chaos-y, especially Slaneeshi.Sorry if I come.off as overly critical, that isn't at all my intention.Oh, and your Roboute Guilliman, AKA Big Bobby G, is fantastic.
