This happened a few days ago but like, I went to get out of the bath as I normally do, but I guess I got up too fast. Blood rush to head and all that

so as I was drying off, I kinda feel my body go all tingly and fuzzy, and my vision slowly fade in the corners of my eyes, and before I know it I hear a loud clang and I come to on the floor. Turns out I spilled my drink in the still draining bath, hit my brow against either the toilet or the tub (still sort of hurts lol), and broke the base of the toilet ever so slightly (thank god I didn't break it or something).

Anyway, I've had the small vision fade thing happen before, but never to the point I actually lose balance and somewhat "pass out" for a few seconds.

I dunno, just felt like sharing that. I'm fine btw, no gash or anything thank god. I'd hate to go to the ER and go in debt.

I neither fear, nor despise.
Not complete passing out. Just lightheadedness. Usually prop my feet up and drink water for a bit.
I actually had a day where it happened repeatedly like every 4 hours, sucked so bad because I couldn't finish lunch or anything without having to take a few minutes.

This is not the greatest sig in the world, no. This is just a tribute.
Nope.

I mean, I've stood up only to then realize that my leg is asleep and almost fall because of it, but I can't say that I've ever done that.

I've gotten close to it before, sometimes I'll get incredibly dizzy and things will spin, but I've never experienced straight up passing out

Oh, hey.
100% can relate. Use to happen a lot, now it's fairly rare. Its if I bolt up and it usually happened when I was getting out of my car or off my couch celebrating a goal.

Never fainted as a result but have gotten pretty close

I was once late for school, so I shot out of bed, not knowing my leg was asleep

so I took one step forward to quickly get out, and my leg just buckled under me and I collapsed on the floor

It hurt for a few days after and I had a slightly funny walk due to limping sort of

I guess I was lying down at a weird angle and texting, so when I got out blood just rushed to my head

it actually kinda scared me after I was aware what happened

I usually see stars and I hear a ringing in my ears. The best thing to do is try and lay down or put your head down. Try and be careful next time it happens. If you feel your body reacting like that again, take a seat and put your head down. If needed rest against something so you don't slouch over or fall.

Often when standing up from a comfy chair after an extended period of sitting I'd lose vision and collapse back into the chair.

Loss of vision meaning sudden blindness or seeing stars?

If you are unable to see in terms of sudden blindness I highly recommend seeing medical attention.

I don't pass out when it happens, I'm still conscious, but my brain sort of shuts down sometimes I fall over and start seizing. Only once did I hit something hard while falling so I'm lucky I guess. I was mostly numb so got on pretty well.

like I fell into brief unconsciousness but not long enough for me to lose lucidity.

Have you talked to a doctor about that? That's not really a common result of getting up too quickly. It reminds me of how I use to have the inability to walk up stairs at a certain point (don't really know how to explain it correctly)

Happens to me fairly often.

I don't think much of it anymore, just wait for a few seconds for it to pass then do whatever I'm doing.

Yeah I know. I don't know what I was thinking, and kinda beat myself up over not doing that. Just kinda thought

"oh this feels funny... and kinda nice", and that was it

Don't worry, that seat has seen worse. He can take a chip on his shoulder

I've gotten it a fair bit, sometimes to the point where I can't see for a few seconds. I've always attributed it to underhydrating and/or being still for a long period of time in a hot climate before standing up.

It's a pretty normal thing to happen if you've been stationary/sat down for a long time, what's less normal is if it happens after you reach to pick something up off the floor or crouch down for a few seconds.

It can be a side effect of some sorts of medication, which is why it happens to me. It's annoying but ultimately harmless, you just have to be aware of it and be careful when standing up.

If it's happening to you like that without medication, it might be hypotension or something else so I'd have a chat with a doctor in that case >_>
