I have no idea what you're talking about because I have not heard anyone use the "gay/faggot" insult since 6th grade.
Then you must be living in a shed.
Nope. It's really been dying down.
Because people get mad or flustered over it. That is literally the only reason.
Lol secondclass was just calling me a faggot today. I guess it's just the edgy bigots where I live that use it.
It's not and I don't see many people using it as an insult to gay people. What you see plenty of is 'you're a fag' 'shut up faggot' 'phag' or the ever present 'fgt'I doubt it's ever actually mean as a 'you are homosexual therefore you are a bad person', along the lines of what kush posted. You calling someone a faggot doesn't mean that they are gay or you are homophobic, it just means they are a faggot. That being said, it is dying off now and you tend to only see fgt online where it's more of a joke than an actual slur. Or Oldfag/Newfag, it's just words not some evil scheme to oppress gay people.Getting butthurt over it is doubly ironic btw.
So what's your opinion of the phrase "no homo"?
Because I live relatively close to Camp Pendleton and know many Marines, they seem to have an odd obsession with calling things "gay" or using "faggot" as an insult. I don't hear it nearly as much with civilians.
Because we are used to it.And not only that, but Im pretty sure EVERYONE here has used that insult before.Sure your opinion may change, but to call people ignorant (insert expletive here) is a bit far, considering you once did the same thing. That's like being freed from prison then mocking people who are still in chains.
OP is so straight.
My post was supposed to be a joke.
I try not to be an asshole, and will usually only be one when defending myself or a friend.
