Standardized tests don't need to be removed, just actually made reflective of what a student should be learning, and also no longer used as a means of earning funding.

standardized testing in my county is blocking 3 weeks worth of classtime from being properly used in the high schools. these ridiculous NCLB policies only serve to bureaucratize and slow education and we need to get rid of them NOW. government-mandated curriculums have no place in modern education.

They're only that much of a problem because of what I mentioned. It's the same thing here with the PSSA testing. It doesn't need to go away, it just needs to be radically reformed.

Enough where they have to power to manipulate Government. Heads of corporations are almost always socially conservative to some degree. So then they simply use their influence to make society socially conservative.

How else is it that societies with less or very few Government regulation on the market tend to be socially conservative? The existence of fully libertarian societies is a contradiction of itself.

There is no social or cultural context for India and China, countries that were 3rd world nobodies a lifetime ago, to be socially conservative. It's all corporate propaganda.
