There would only be a big war if Russia declared it, then the US probably would have to declare war too since turkey and USA are close allies, right? Also NATO of course.

A pilot killed inside of his plane while he flies a sortie is completely acceptable.

A pilot outside of his plane, who has ejected and poses no threat, is a noncombatant and is not to be harmed.

It should be mentioned that Turkey has enforced their own buffer zone which implies 5km into Syrian Airspace is now theirs. This puts the flight path of the Russian jet into a lot of trouble, as instead of the internationally agreed borders of Turkey and the small incursion by the jet in it's flight path, the buffer zone only recognised by Turkey put it as virtually in "Turkish airspace" for most of it's trip. Because fuck you, they're Turkey.

This is already a heap of shit, not to mention that:

-Rebels/fucking whoever started shooting the parachuting pilot, a big no-no under the Geneva conventions.
-FSA immobilised, than TOW'd an evac chopper searching for him.
-Turkey ran to NATO for advice/protection rather than sorting out the situation with Russia themselves.

Good fucking job Turkey, you pricks.
