Thinking yourself to death?

Has there ever been a time or time frame in your life in which you not only thought, but felt that you were thinking yourself to death?

I have experienced this first hand and I thought I was going through my own form of rampancy. Something tells me the sheer power of Philosophy that I discovered was a major cause, maybe even a long-term side effect from using Cannabis? Even if I stopped using it for several months? Or maybe it was a combination of the two?

I would continually ask myself questions, questions I would attempt to answer, but was never satisfied with the result. Universal truth, the meaning of existence, deep stuff like that.

I have to say, once I pulled through that phase, I felt the most enlightened I had in my entire life. The last time I smoked the Cannabis was the time this "Thinking myself to death" stopped. As if it unlocked a door I was banging on to get through.

Yes, I had a pretty major phase of my life like that.
I found that sticking myself in more social situations with other people to talk to helped, rather than just sitting and stagnating in my own mind.

Sometimes it gets to be too much though, especially if it lasts for several years.

Depression did occur, because I couldn't find an answer that was good enough. As for having a narcissist personality? I can safely say I do not. I don't obsessed over my physical appearance because I lack a sense of fashion with what I wear. I rarely take selfies and when I do, its on demand from another person (Usually someone I might be attracted to that wants a recent picture).

I definitely do not have an above average confidence level to qualify for that label either.

When I "think myself to death" (pretty stupid term, OP), I always eventually come up with a solution. I just figured it meant, "heavy, prolonged, deep contemplation". I missed the part in the OP where the dumbass said that pot helped him. Pot wouldn't help me. My mind couldn't be any more open than it is now. The stuff I think about day in and day out, you would never even dream of. And I don't need fucking drugs to do it.

I doubt that, because for you to do such a thing you would have experienced the same scenario as I did. You would have stretched your mental willpower to its breaking point, you would have felt like you were apart from reality. You would have skipped out on meals like I did, because of how IN I was in with my thoughts.

The point I was trying to make (In the OP) was that it felt like my mind was literally attacking itself.

The truth was, that Cannabis didn't cause the issue, it sped up my philosophical prowess. That explains why the last time I used it, was the time I felt something finally clicked together. I feel pretty damn good.

So I may not have constructed my original post as well as I should have. That doesn't make me a dumb ass, that makes me hasty.

Weird you should mention it, I felt like that 2 nights ago (If perhaps, slightly different to what you're talking about). I was trying to get to sleep but had a fever, and my mind was thinking so furiously that I was pretty much dreaming while I was awake. I think I was delirious. My head was splitting all day yesterday.
