That's a plus, but I don't think it's a deal-breaker if you're literally having the most cautious, vanilla sex possible. Unless you plan on swinging around on vines and doing backflips into her cooch, the chance of the condom breaking isn't high at all. Combine that with birth control, and not even finishing inside her... The chance of pregnancy is basically voided.

And like I said, if you having sex with a condom alone, you can very easily check for tears. Condoms don't break in a discrete way, you can almost always feel it. It's like a balloon; the thing's not just gonna suffer from some micro-tear and go unnoticed, it's gonna explode. But filling the condom with water and squeezing it, gross as that might be, can easily tell you if anything leaked.

The problem is that you're not paying attention, and accusing me of something of which I am not guilty. Nowhere have I said "promiscuous women are worse than promiscuous men". I've said repeatedly that I try not to judge promiscuous people, since I myself am promiscuous.

What you call a "wager" is using common sense to infer that men aren't just better than women in this context.

I've said numerous time already that I think men have a bigger problem in terms of being deadbeats and useless parents. We were discussing the very narrow question of whether or not male promiscuity impacts their satisfaction in long-term relationship down the line, I was honest and said I don't know if that's the case. I'm not excusing male promiscuity, or saying women ought to be less promiscuous than men; I'm saying I don't know if a very specific consequence of promiscuity for women is the same for men.

 At the end of the day, I'm still holding both sexes to account for promiscuous behaviour.

First study also suggests that men do not suffer the same long-term marital consequences from promiscuity. I'm sceptical, though. My own experience with promiscuity suggests otherwise.

I truly believe women's role, first and foremost, is to be homemakers and mothers. I don't really care if women want to pursue careers, it's their choice and a lot of them are really good at it. A lot of feminists add a nice little disclaimer to what htey say "Well if women want ot be housewives that's fine". can you imagine the backlash if a disney movie portrayed a housewife as a strong, admirable role model and then flashed a message at the end saying "if women want careers, that's fine though". It would be nuclear.

I guess I just have conservative vies about gender roles, but fundamentally the breakdown of the family is one of the most worrying social trends in our society. I can't remember the year, but about 20pc of british kids said the thing they want most for christmas is a father.
