JonTron's audience consists of teens to young adults, many of which look to him as a hero and wouldn't necessarily know better to not to take his worldview seriously. Regardless of any agreement or disagreement with his opinions, I'm not gonna believe he should stick to what he does normally. If he has a desire to debate political topics then by all means he can and should do it as long as he's content with the reactions of his audience. People with a large following don't lose their right to free speech, and I would never tell them that they shouldn't use that right because they're influential.
