I really find it funny though how so many internet Atheists claim to be persecuted and wronged by society, yet all I see on the internet is those Atheists persecuting others that have different beliefs.

I believe in what can be proven, I believe in tangible evidence, and above all, I believe in logic rooted it in the quantifiable, rather than basing it off faith alone.

"flaming nipple chops"-Your host, the man they call Ghost.

To say, 'nothing is true', is to realize that the foundations of society are fragile, and that we must be the shepherds of our own civilization. To say, 'everything is permitted', is to understand that we are the architects of our actions, and that we must live with their consequences, whether glorious or tragic.

Mockery and criticism on the Internet is not persecution.
Does that somehow make them good?

I have mixed feelings right now in regards to religion. I want to believe that some higher being exists and that everything has a purpose, but still the bleak feeling persists for me that we are merely insignificant bags of complex chemicals on a clump of rock in some far flung section of a galaxy.

I'm not going to bury my head in the sand and say "GOD DONE IT", though. I just wish there was some... evidence that a deity exists. Alas, our minds are limited and we don't realize it, so we attempt to come up with explanations for our existence. We reach problems quickly when we try to explain what happened before the big bang or what creates a deity. It goes on forever.

Sometimes I envy the folks that truly believe in religions, as they will never experience this cold, empty feeling to the degree that I (and presumably many others) have.

No. Why? Tragedies happen. Saw on the news yesterday that a 4 year old died form the entero-virus. And a lot more things that happen everyday. We are not immortal. If there was a god things would be perfect, at least there would be no serious illnesses. We are just primates that learned to do a few things, nothing special.

Your love gets me so high
I like identifying myself as an agnostic, solely for the fact that I really want God (the Christian God) to exist and there is something for me after death. Honestly, thinking about what happens when I die being equivalent to a light shutting off frightens me. That's why I still go through the motions of being a Christian with my family, because I was raised that way and because of my fear. However, it really wouldn't surprise me if I found out that there is no God.

Until there happens to be indisputable evidence to support either side, I will remain neutral.

At least you acknowledge this. Most people don't.

To me, it's no different than the time before I was born.

I might only think this way because, if I were to die tomorrow, I definitely wouldn't be satisfied with what I've accomplished so far. Maybe if I live to be 70-80 years old, I'll have a greater appreciation for death and finding out what happens.

As people get older, I don't really think anyone gains appreciation for death and finding out what happens, they just accept the inevitable, or come to terms with what lies for them next. There's probably only a select few people that are satisfied with their accomplishments in life once they reach the end of the line. I'd wager that most of us feel like we could have done something more, done something differently, or not done something at all. While it may not be pleasant, I think that's totally normal to feel incomplete or unfinished when your number is up.

Unfortunately, I've had a fair share of experience with death with family and friends. It doesn't matter if it was my middle school friend with leukemia, or my grandfather who topped 100 years old - they felt like they had missed something or didn't leave their mark.

Can't remember which season and episode of the top of my head but the one where they get transported to an alternate reality where they are the actors of the show. That was probably my favorite.
Ah yes. Dean is Dr McSexy or something, Sam is in a Japanese game show. I think a genital herpes commercial is involved.

I loved the Trickster's shenanigans.

God's existence is built into the definition of the predicate. You can't say God doesn't exist unironically when it's in the definition of God that he exists. The Catholic Church sorted this out centuries ago.

I am always around, but never seen. I am often avoided, but you can't out run me. for I will come when you're old and grey, or maybe even the very next day. I will come with cold embrace, and give you rest with a chilled kiss on your face. I come in many forms of emotional state, whether it's irony, love, laughter, or hate. I am everyone's final fate.
Although I believe in God sometimes it's hard to get the idea out of my head that it could be a money scheme...lol
