Legalizing all drug use is a great way to thin out the population while ensuring most that are dying off weren't very productive anyway.

If I were to do that, it'd cause a lot of controversy and the person or people I'm talking to would look at me and think "I can't be around this guy" or "This guy's got unpleasant views"

Sam Raimi's Spider-man 3 outclasses every single superhero film ever created (besides Spider-man 1/2) by understanding the classical, operatic spirit of Spider-man's legacy. It confronts the cheesey tropes of the medium unapologetically, and in doing so feels exceptionally earnest in its desire to portray the essence of the character in an attractive light. It will last far longer than anything that's come out since.

I used to play baseball all the time man it really doesn’t take more skill than basketball or football. Tennis takes a lot more skill than baseball. Footwork, stamina, quick thinking etc.

Not to mention almost all pro baseball players are a bunch of steroid abusing junkies.

1. Baseball
2. Hockey
3. Basketball

In that order these require the most skill.

You need all of that in baseball as well as baserunning skills, fielding your position by being in the correct spot, being accurate when throwing the ball, knowing which base to throw to to get an out, and learn how to work the count when batting as well as knowing which ones to swing at and not too. That's just being a fielder. It's another level being a pitcher.

You listed only two things, running and throwing. You forgot to mention batting, but like I said MLB is full of steroid abuse. Everything else is just knowing how to play the game. That doesn’t inherently take skill.

Hey.
I came here from b.net after a few Floods invited me. None of them post on either b.net nor here anymore, which is sad. I was still active on b.net until for some bizarre reason, b.net admins locked out people who have not played Destiny. Even if you wanted to post on the offtopic section. After that, I fully moved here and have not returned to b.net since.
Please come play Halo with me.

Agreed if we also admit that Spiderman 3 was bad (entirely because of executive meddling).

I don't think it's as good as 1 or 2, but it's definitely not as bad as people make it out to be. Remove Venom from the story and most of my issues are fixed. The dance scene was perfect. Keep Eddie Brock around though, he's a great character and Topher Grace was really good.

All the movies are "bad" in the sense that comics in general are "bad."

It definitely ruined the third act of the movie. It was too crowded so it didn't give Venom the room he needed to thrive, and the director himself didn't care too much for him which has an impact on the interpretation (also his design didn't need the webbing). Raimi himself thinks that the focus on "raising the stakes" versus continuing the progression from the previous movies doomed it.

I still enjoy the movie, and I agree that keeping Eddie Brock in the movie would have been a good idea. Plant the seed for Venom, but don't force the issue. Everything good quality Spiderman 3 has was present in the other two Raimi movies. That's not to say that it's worse for it, but it failed to improve on the formula set by its predecessors. I think if Raimi hadn't been forced by the studio to make inclusions despite him not believing in them, it would have been a great movie. As it stands it's bad, but still better than anything DC or Marvel have put out since (although Homecoming does have a place in my heart).

I agree with everything (except that Homecoming bit, that film was absolute trash save Alison Reynolds's MJ's character) you've said here, I just disagree that it makes the film "bad."
