Then get more people who are interested in writing reviews for other stuff to actually write them.At the moment it seems like only the anime community is motivated enough to write articles.
Angry Brute does gaming reviews but they don't get put on the news reel for some reason.

However I don't have the expertise to create one, nor a capture card for console games.Just because the anime community here will write reviews and first impressions on Anime, doesn't mean they're comfortable (or enjoy) writing them about video games or other things. You can't force people to do something if they don't want to do it. If you do you'll end up with a half-assed product without any soul in it. It would be much better to get someone who is interested in doing those kinds of articles to create one instead of forcing individuals outside of their comfort zone.

We're an off topic forum that originated from a video game developer's website. The fact that the front page almost always has something anime on it may or may not give the wrong impression.
Let me also put it this way: because of the fact that the News board is now just flooded with anime threads, I'm drawn away from it now- and since I have no interest whatsoever and there's nothing else, I tend to miss important announcements.I've almost been thinking that the reviews should be stuck into a subforum because I find the announcements fairly important.
Well perhaps encouraging others to create stuff about other interests would be a good idea <.<Hell I could do books if I could be bothered >_>

I can't put articles about other subjects in there if they don't exist. I'm going to need something to put in there if I'm to diversify the news section.Get people together who want to write about other subjects and have them write something up for me to put in there. At the moment the only group that seems to be doing that is the anime one, so since really only anime articles are being submitted, that's all that's going to be showing up.Give me more content to work with and you'll see a more diverse news section.

A subforum would be inside the News board, and titled Reviews. You click it, and it takes you to the board that has all the reviews. Those can all still appear on the front page, but they won't be mixed in with the forum bulletins. Since it doesn't exist, it would need to be created. So that's a job for an admin.Anyways. You guys want to keep writing your anime reviews, that's fine. I'm just hoping for more diversity. I'm not much of a writer myself so I'm just throwing my suggestions out there.

I'm not much of a writer myself so I'm just throwing my suggestions out there. As pointed out earlier though everything important is typically stickied at the top until it's run it's course and is no longer relevant or in the case of smaller announcements the news board is so slow that those end up staying at the top anyway until they're old news. Now I'm not opposed to your suggestion (if it can be done), but at the moment I don't believe it's that big of an issue.Cheat and Isara may have a different opinion though and when it comes to site design its their words that matter, not mine.
You guys should do more game reviews.Too much weeb-y stuff.

Anime was always a significant community on the Flood though.
At least they're doing reviews.anime or not, we don't have to HAVE reviews about games just because we came from a gaming company.
Plus its not really giving the wrong impression, I dont think it does.. maybe..
