The Flood / Re: Building a PC am I cool now« on: December 23, 2020, 02:43:31 PM »get a bot, write a bot, or hop into a discord running off botsPretty much. I already mentioned it in my thread about microphones (advice still welcome, if you have any). I founded a Ltd. company last year for my esports / streaming work. Got a good amount of revenue but hardly any costs in 2020. Incurring some expenses now and writing them off would be good for taxes. The main problem is that so much is out of stock. I was looking at an 5900x, RTX 3080, PS5 and so on, but they're pretty much impossible to get these days.I'm sure it will, but I'd like to buy it before the end of the year for tax purposes lolIntel? In 2O2O?I'm looking at a 3900x myself right now, but stock is low everywhere. buying hot things on the internet is not for humans; stick to in store purchasing if you can 5

game's alright, can't say much as there's still a lot left to do in it
had to scale my resolution down from 1440p to 1080p to get 50 fps on high settings; using an m.2 nvme which is great for loading textures and files i haven't had a lot of bugs but the driving AI is pretty bad and the game has a lot less going on then what seemed advertised was never on the hype train for this game but i dumped 14 hours into it with no real bugs, glitches, or crashes so idk what is going on with a lot of other people's pcs 8

Still kind of a noob tbh but it'll be cool to reach that point where I can fly around with just the keyboard. 10

i have probably have over 1000 hours on trackball mice on a variety of screen sizes, pixel densities, and a lot of different applications
from my experience, they are inferior to modern wireless mice on a good size mouse pad, especially as screen real estate increases trackball mice shine in situations where a user may be wearing gloves and does not have access to a desk thumb-controlled trackball mice are... just terrible seriously i haven’t seen a reason to use one because the ball is smaller, meaning less control and you’re kind of forcing one digit to do all of the heavy-lifting the plain jane logi trackman can be had for $25 and hands down it’s my fav because they are cheap, simple, never fail, barely need cleaning (which takes 10 secs to do), and they are ambi it’s no wonder why so many industrial machines that rely on HID come with this trackball; it just works another issue i have with trackball mice is they rely on mouse acceleration/enhanced pointer precision software too much, which often leads to over-shooting GUI elements a simple, lightweight wireless mouse with zero mouse acceleration is way easier to predict and control, as a user can use their arm for large movements, their wrist for small movements, and their finger tips for extremely precise movements trackballs cannot take advantage of this level of granularity and fatigue the tendons of your fingers a nice and simple luxury of trackball mice, however, is when you’re just trying to use a small screen and maybe one or two applications, primarily focusing on your keyboard to grind out a task to me, personally, an apple trackpad is better as you can still use a little arm movement, some wrist movement, and literally any finger to do any function without making gross adjustments TLDRRII trackball mice; really good in a factory or for programming/very heavy keyboard use trackpad less fatiguing and more precise mouse best for a lot of screen real estate, endurance, extreme precision i can talk more about this but having all three HIDs is worth it, plus they look sick 17

never buy your products based off marketing; always buy from a design/engineering standpoint where applicable
a good example of how fucked marketing can make a product is in consumer audio business it takes 1-2 years of work for a product to be designed and marketed but acoustic engineers only have around 2 weeks to make it sound good 28
