The Flood / Re: Favorite bands/artists that you've seen live

I made basically this thread yesterday
great minds think alike ✌🏼️
Tru tru

But to answe the question of the thread the most fun show I've been to was this little know rapper named super duper kyle who was opening for a hoodie Allen concert I took my girlfriend too. I had heard a couple of this guys songs before and kinda liked him but once he was on stage his show was just so much fucking fun. He had so much energy and literally crowd surfed (like he actually brought out a surfboard), he did te fusion dance with one of the guys on stage, it was just a lot a fun despite the music being nothing spectacular.

The worst concert I've ever been to was fetty wap like I think that guy is actually retarded
it's definitely a great feeling when some relatively unknown artists opens a concert, kills it, and inevitably sets the tone for the rest of the night. at the 3-day fest where i saw Bassnectar, this white Jewish rapper named Lil Dicky kicked off the festival in some serious style. all the people i was talking to around me had never heard of this guy before and he comes out and gets everyone dancing and going crazy for his songs, shit was so surreal.

and funnily enough, Fetty Wap was actually scheduled to perform at this same festival but something happened with his flight or some shit and he ended up cancelling his set. so glad he did though because Kill The Noise ended up filling in for him anyway
idk if you know already but lil dicky has a song featuring fetty wap, and it's all about not spending money

they shot the whole music video without spending any money
i actually had no idea lol, gonna go check that out

and yeah KTN murdered his set at Okeechobee, that was my only time seeing him live and it was fun af

i bet they were awesome every single time you saw them. i really gotta make it out to an alternative rock festival one of these days
The best part is remembering how they were when I first saw them in 2006. They were anxious youngsters who didn't interact with the crowd. Now you can see Alex chatting up people, asking "how the fuck are ya, Portland?" and gyrating his hips during songs. I essentially grew up along with them. It's great.
that's amazing man, i really gotta find out if they're passing through Florida anytime soon

fetty had some stupid lip syncing hoe open for him and the once he came on (an hour late) he didn't even fucking rap his own songs they were just playing and he would say the last word of the line every once in awhile
lol not even surprised, i have no idea how that dude got so popular with so little talent and a singing voice that sounds like the mating call of a whale

aw man you've seen Flume? that's awesome, they're way up on my list of artists that i desperately want to see live.
Yee, it was a wicked set, most of the aforementioned acts I caught at GTM. I wondered over to the stage he was playing at for his set and it was going off. So many people were baked and just really getting into it, treating complete strangers like best mates lmao

We said hi after catching him entering at the end of Tame Impala's Autograph session and he seems like a deadset legend
i feel ya, most of the time the crowd is what makes these festivals so great. i've never had a bad experience with fellow festival-goers because they're usually super chill, I've met plenty of amazing people for the first time at a festival but it felt like we were best friends for a long time. never have i felt connections like that anywhere else.

Alpine, Seth Sentry, Midnight Juggernauts, Flume, Mini Mansions and Tame Impala all know how to hype a crowd up.

But nothing will beat Regurgitator's 2013 Groovin' the Moo Canberra set for me tbh. That shit was pure gold

with festival season fast approaching, let's get in the spirit by sharing our favorite performances!

for my spring break this year i was able to make it to a 3-day festival where i got to see Kendrick Lamar perform live, which is easily the best show i have ever witnessed. it was not only impressive that he's able to perform his studio records with a live band playing behind him, but how he was able to electrify the crowd during "m.a.a.d city" and "alright" was amazing.

my favorite EDM performances are Bassnectar and Odesza, both of which i've seen live twice. the second time i saw Bassnectar was the craziest hour and a half of my life. you don't know what throwing down means until you witness this guy in person throwing down his insanely unique beats. On the other hand, Odesza's calming style really elevated me to a new level and was an amazing closing act.

i'm adding another festival under my belt this weekend so my favorites are definitely subject to change

Kinda pointless being a vegetarian. Live your life to the fullest extent.
why do you think it's pointless? i'm not trying to say that as to be confrontational, just out of curiosity. because, personally, i feel i will be living my life to the fullest extent after i go through this dietary transformation.

gonna start by slowly weening off certain types of meats at a time, beginning with cutting out red meats and pork for a few days, followed by poultry and seafood. this might be one of the toughest choices of my life so far, but as far as my beliefs go i feel it will definitely pay off in the long run :)
