its been a long time. Like 3 years but possibly more. I also have never gotten vaccinations, except the ones they make you get to enroll in elementary school, and don't go to the doctor. I believe going to the doctor an excessive amount over every little thing can really fuck your immune system in the long run. Better to let colds and things run their course.
Even if I was dying I think I'd still refuse to go to the doctor. Doctor offices are literal Hell.
dude i feel the same way about going to the doctor, i haven't seen one in at least two years and that was because i needed to get an HPV vaccination before attending my college. i also don't like taking Advil or any OTC meds because i feel like people become dependent on them so easily.

i haven't gotten "sick" since the beginning of my freshman year of college, and that was because someone at a party was sick and it spread around to a bunch of other people. other than that though i've been very healthy and haven't experienced any debilitating illnesses in quite a while.

Don't listen to any of these NEETs who have no idea what they're talking about, and the extent of their knowledge of fraternities comes from bad publicity of some bad apples. You're attending UF, right? I'm 100% certain that they have a fraternity for guys just like you, and there are plenty others filled with cool people. Even participating in Rush Week and showing up to the events is better than not trying it out at all.
I'm not interested in joining a frat, honestly. Like, at all. I know it's a huge time commitment, and I'd rather spend it elsewhere.
Completely understandable, it really is a big time commitment and I'm not sure if I'll be able to work and fraternize at the same time, but I'm going to try to figure it out. If a frat isn't your thing then your next best choice would be a club, imo.

That's a very jaded way to look at it. Sure you can make plenty of friends without being in a fraternity, I did it all last year just fine, but I also missed out on a lot of fun shit that some of my good friends were able to experience because they were all in the process of joining.
