That's stupid. White is a mix of all colours. Photons weren't a thing "before" the big bang.

that doesn't stop you from having a vision of what it looked like before regardless of what actually there

It would be black, though.

When the supposed heat death of our universe occurs it would possibly be similar to what it was like before the Big Bang - assuming the universe goes through an infinite cycle of heat death and then re-birthing itself through quantum tunneling.

Yeah but you can see how it can be seen as white tho right?

White is a more of a beginning thing than black is

You only think that because it is commonly depicted as so in media. But, believe what you want to believe. We have no actual way of knowing what it was like "before" the big bang - because there wasn't really a "before" if that makes sense to you. It is beyond human comprehension.

You keep talking about what was actually there and I'm asking what is your visual representation of it

If you ask people what they think of when they visualize nothingness, a color or something usually snaps to mind
It's usually a big black blank

But a big white blank has been screwing with my head

Oh, right, I apologize. I thought this was about what it actually looked like.

Yeah, I see either white or black.

Ahh

Que interesante

It's not some big metaphor where it was a canvas or whatever stupid shit you're saying

light is a literal thing. White is a form of light

before the Big Bang, not even light existed. White as a color didn't exist, either. It was just absence. Absence of anything. And thus, black

Well that's that then

I guess it's more of a personality thing

I've always seen black too but the white concept is a weird one to think about

It wasn't black. It wasn't white. It wasn't anything.

You can't comprehend nothing.

Well I'm not asking you to comprehend it lol

If string theory is correct, then you would see other universes as the Big Bang was the product of two universes colliding or one collapsing. We don't really know so there's no point in asking.

Dude
Have you even read the thread?

I don't care what happened
I'm asking what you see m8
How can you ask what you see when we don't even know what happened? If we assume it was nothingness then maybe black, but we can just make that assumption because we could be wrong.

If I ask you what nothingness was, you would have something that would snap to your head
People have been visualizing complex concepts since way back

It's our art

Even with these arguments going on, the human brain simply cannot comprehend nothingness or infinity, since our very existence is tied to both finite time, and things around us (or whatever clever word you wanna use).

But we do have interpretations

It's just saying that you are unsure of whether a god exists or not

It wouldn't look like anything, it wouldn't be able to look at because there was nothing there.

Humans always have a visual representation of ideas regardless of what they physically are

But it would be black. Look at space right now. The black is nothingness.

Exactly
I've always seen it like that too
A black nothingness

But white is as much nothingness as black is
It's been twisting my mind ever since she told me about it

White is actually the complete opposite. It is a mix of all colours. White is abundance.

Well when people think of white, they don't usually think of it being all colors and how that would be seemingly impossible before the Big Bang

And that's the point
Do you see nothing? Or you do see more of a canvas?

Canvas? I don' t know how to explain it exactly

I don't imagine anything before the big bang, because matter and energy as we know it did not exist before the big bang, nor did time. It's like asking what someone looked like before they were born.

But you do have an image in your mind of it

It's probably a big black nothingness right?

My friend had a big white nothingness

A discussion I recently had with one of my friends

I've always pictured darkness before the Big Bang but she always saw a blank white

Now that I think about it, it makes perfect sense

Darkness seems like nothing was there and the Big Bang just randomly happened but a white backdrop seems more intelligent, like a canvas to be painted

Anyways, it was a nice perspective change
