Well he was grown in the comics with Superman's DNA by Lex Luthor at one point in the comics
So at least they got source material right
But I'm pretty disappointed they showed it in the trailer
No, that was Bizarro.
No Lex did grow Doomsday at one point in the comic with Superman's DNA He got flame breath but he was much weaker and also gained intelligence So I'm kinda glad they went with version because then they can save pure Doomsday for a later sequel Plus there is no way they would be able to defeat him otherwise

why does anyone even bother posting bvs shit on this site when it receives nothing but vehement hatred every time
Most of the hate came from Ben Affleck casting
Now that he's alright, most of the concern is now for the movie
he was always going to be fine, anyone who bitched about batfleck is a fucking idiot. it doesnt look like anyone even wants this movie to be good. just a bunch of immediate negative reactions every fucking time for the weirdest reasons.
Dude seriously?
All we had to go on was mediocre performances in film and Daredevil so reactions were pretty justifiable
ben affleck has a fantastic track record as an actor and director... the fuck are you smoking?
Argo was the first really show of potential mate Until then he was pretty eh

>Batman vs. Superman >Except not really, here's Doomsday too >And Wonder Woman >Lex Luthor is just a cheap imitation of the Joker now >That's it, that's our whole movie in a trailer
Press F to pay respects. Marvel has won lads.
The only real bad parts of this trailer is Jesse Eisenberg. I thought he would do better after the first trailer but he's even worse in this one.
The trailer basically just gave away the entire premise of the movie.
It's an action movie Not really in it for plot honestly Just wanna watch Superman and Batman throw down

1) Thank fucking jesus christ they managed to put some humor into this movie
I would not be able to handle another Man of Steel gloom fest
2) Ben Affleck has sold me on his Bruce Wayne but his Batman seems a bit effy
3) Jesse Eisenburg is fucking terrible as Lex
4) Why oh why is there a main villain?
As if Batman v Superman isn't enough action and plot, you have to add Doomsday?
Ugh
Not to mention Wonder Woman is really out of place in this movie
5) I swear I saw parademons in there and Doomsday having omega beams which I didn't know he had
Please do not be some fucked up version of Darkseid I swear to god

Bodybuilding in of itself is not unhealthy It keeps you in top physical form This is common sense and basic science lol
What you're talking about is the dudes who are at the gym 24/7 and use steroids and shit Even then, that is just a minority and a stereotype which I thought you and Prime were above lol
i'm talking about these people who try to go below 5% body fat and shit
that's not healthy
Which are generally the stereotypical career bodybuilders who use supplements To use that to judge the concept of bodybuilding and its whole community is ignorant Plus there's nothing inherently unhealthy about that

Let's be realistic here: using bodybuilding as a reference isn't very fair because it's a life consuming hobby that's also very unhealthy.
lol I thought you were suppose to be smart
she's not wrong--body-building is a life-consuming and unhealthy waste of life
it's not unfair for me to use it as a standard for jackedness, though
Except it's not Considering a waste of time sure but to call it unhealthy is idiotic Bodybuilding in of itself is not unhealthy It keeps you in top physical form This is common sense and basic science lol What you're talking about is the dudes who are at the gym 24/7 and use steroids and shit Even then, that is just a minority and a stereotype which I thought you and Prime were above lol

However, even if he was fine with that, referring to him as-such to a third party would still be a terrible thing to do. why
what if you're not using it in a negative context
why doesn't context matter when referring to him or her to third parties
Because that is a more open forum, and promotes racism/sexism/homophobia/transphobia/etc to other people. When you're only speaking to him or a group of individuals that he is comfortable with, then it's simply nothing greater than the usual type of ragging amongst friends taken to a more racey level. Talking in such a manner to another person, however, promotes nothing more than hate and bigotry.
If you call your friend "that idiot over there," it really only says that you have a good relationship and possibly some contempt for that person. If you call him "that faggot over there," it says something a bit more about how you think of any gay people. Saying it only to him says nothing about what you think about gay people as a whole unless you're saying it in an insulting way or if he has told you - rightfully so - that he's not okay with that word being used around him.
It's literally not promoting anything at all Simply using a word does not say anything about your views on a subject It's only that way because you and the rest of your SJW posse say it is
Okay, so, now you're just being an idiot. Are you seriously saying that the language you use doesn't represent the way you think about certain groups?
So saying "bitch" doesn't represent how a person might think about women? Saying "nigger" doesn't represent what a person might think about black people? Are you really that daft?
That's what I'm saying We as a society need to stop indulging in such pretenses
Like I said before I would not call someone I just met "my nigga" or any other term I acknowledge this is still a delicate subject and it needs to be handled with some grace but still To just outlaw any use of "slurs" is ignoring why they exist and the power we have to eradicate them
Nobody said anything about outlawing shit
We're pretty obviously talking about society
Why is "muh free speech" the first thing everyone's minds snap to when someone says, "Hey, you probably shouldn't say this or you'll generally sound like a fuckin' cunt."
No you clearly are talking about outlawing shit Especially when you get all over someone's ass for saying something It's not even free speech as I've been saying this whole thread It's about eradicating the hate from these words and that won't happen when you shush up people at the first mention of something that might be "offensive" And what you're doing is way beyond "hey you probably shouldn't say this" You're going out of your way to make people be quiet about shit you just want to push to the side

tbh though from general experience tranny is used a lot less malevolently than shit like shemale or it
Well using shemale or it usually always carries a negative connotation and is intended to provoke

And yeah, I like MLP and would like to keep my penis thank you very much.
lol when will people learn that being a tranny =/= getting a sex change/crossdressing?
I'm probably one, but you don't see me running around trying to do something that can't be done
When will people like you learn that "tranny," as it is a slur, is incredibly non-descriptive and does just about nothing to describe someone besides "person that doesn't fit my definition of a cisgender individual"
Transvestite is the term that originated 'tranny' as it refers to men who dress in clothes typically meant for females and may try to fit the "look" in an overall sense as well - crossdressers, drag queens, etc. 'Tranny' originates as a slur from this because it is meant to refer to transgender/transsexual individuals as nothing more than a man dressing in women's clothing.
Transgender is a somewhat all-encompasing term for someone who is not cisgender. They may or may not have taken hormone replacement therapy (HRT), sexual reassignment surgery (SRS), and may simply be nothing more than a person who identifies as the opposing gender but has taken no steps to work towards that direction. It describes one's mental state more than one's physical state.
Transsexual refers to a person who has gone through all the steps - HRT, SRS, fully legalized as their identified gender, legally changed name, etc.
Why would you need to take mind of such small nuisances in worry of offending someone? It's promoting the mindset that it's ok to be offended by whatever you want

But to do that would be to push it away and not address it at all
What happens in a 1OO years?
Will we continue to "ban" it? Because that would just be like holding it over their heads for the rest of time
so what
we wouldn't need to "ban" it--people would just have the sense not to use it
it's really not a big deal i don't cry over the fact that it's socially unacceptable to call people niggers
But not using it is still acknowledging that it still holds the implications that it once did Would it not be more empowering to actually destroy the meaning of that word?
7463
« on: December 02, 2015, 09:22:18 PM »
Except I'm not using it in an offensive way
To ban words like that is to accept their inherent offensiveness so to speak
"Look, I'm not referring to my black, gay friend as, 'that faggot-ass nigger' in an OFFENSIVE way! He just needs to learn to be less thin-skinned! Also, I've never faced any type of prejudice and cannot comment on what it feels like to be treated as a 'lesser' member of society, but I'll pretend that I know anyways so I don't have to be considerate!"
No I am calling him that because I understand the full implications of that word and I deny it of its power I too am a minority I am called gook and made fun of all the time (even on here) But it's all good because I know no one is actually serious about it Even then why would I indulge them in their attacks We've moved on To keep giving those words the implications they once had is holding us back To be clear, I'm not telling you to just say it at your leisure I wouldn't just call someone on the street "my nigga"

Why continue giving power to a word that should be dead by now?
not a bad point, but it fails to address the question i asked
would it not be preferable to never use the word at all instead of changing its meaning
But to do that would be to push it away and not address it at all What happens in a 1OO years? Will we continue to "ban" it? Because that would just be like holding it over their heads for the rest of time

"What is context?" something that is abused to justify using words that shouldn't ever be used
One has an obvious level of malice implied, the other obviously does not. Similarly, I say 'nigga' a lot because that's just slang that I use due to growing up in a heavily black area of Houston. I would not, however, say, "yes, well, let's look at these statistics that show the crime levels of whites and niggers in juxtaposition."
there is no logic in using a word that was once intended for malice in a non-malicious context
there's no point
why do it
Why continue giving power to a word that should be dead by now?

It's threads like these that remind me where I am and why I consider suicide on the regular
You contemplate suicide over a term that literally no one but SJWs get mad about?
What's up with this political correction and not offending people?
When did society become full of bitches?
I get mad over the fact that your type of people aren't the minority
You know, the type of people that will tell me that I'm not allowed to be offended by a word that is constantly used to berate, deride, and slander myself and others like me, and that generally society views myself and people like me as freaks, outcasts, or blights.
So, yes, getting reminded of that fact tends to do that.
Of course, you're the type of person who apparently responds to clinical depression by saying, "lmao, just go cheer up," so I don't expect you to have a high enough level of cognizance to understand anything I'm saying - much less empathize with it.
Except I'm not using it in an offensive way To ban words like that is to accept their inherent offensiveness so to speak

it is, though
any term used to denigrate a group of people is a slur

Guys liking girly things doesn't necessarily mean they want to be one
why else would you watch a show like MLP, if you didn't identify with the demographic of the other gender?
Just because you identify with or like something that doesn't typically fit in with what you're expected to, it doesn't mean you want to become it yourself
You can like whatever you want That's your opinion
Whereas being a tranny would be based on how you feel you are, not on the amount of stuff you like from that gender
True, but it's rare to find a man who's perfectly comfortable with his gender doing uber-girly shit like watching MLP
Asians Especially the Japs They do not give a shit about what you think of them Literally the most self secure people ever That's why they make all the weird shit
