Funny because BF1 plays exactly like all the modern setting BFs
It's full of prototype weapons that performs exactly like modern assault rifles, SMGs, LMGs, shotguns, and snipers
It still maintains the core gameplay, but it took away a lot of the things that made people annoyed with the modern things, such as heat seeking missiles and auto lock on. It made things more analog (if that's the right word) to where you actually had to aim your shots and be accurate, like the older shooters used to have, rather than just point and shoot. It also made it so machine guns didn't just dominate and bolt action/semi-auto are actually just as viable as other weapons.

Sure
I'm just saying those are gameplay considerations and not necessarily tied to setting

Why does everyone want to go back to WW2? I don't get it.

Misunderstanding of why the new games suck
Fans think it's the setting and not the sterilized slot machine gameplay that's dragging the series down
This COD will play exactly the same as BOIII and IW no doubt
The new games suck because we don't like the gameplay changes. We want CoD to stay how CoD is and not try to be the retarded brother of Titanfall and Halo that it's been trying to be the past few years. The setting plays a role in that with the jetpacks and other future shit.

COD is in a lose lose situation right now because the fanbase is cancer
They love the easy instant gratification COD gives them but they also want "change"

If Activision allows COD to change, they lose the fanbase
If Activision keeps COD the same, the fanbase will bitch and moan

Well people weren't stocked about another modern military shooter Battlefield as well, and loved it was going back in the past. I think people just like that setting stuff as well.

Anyone else play this game?

Had it from PS+ last month and played it because I was bored and it absolutely blew me away

Really enjoyed the soundtrack and storytelling
Nice change of pace from most games I've been playing

I agree. Millions vs billions. The math on this is clear

Fuck this logic

Look at it from his perspective. The people of the world put themselves in the situation. Neither would budge on their political beliefs. That refusal meant everything would die. He was touted as the smartest man alive and saw no other option than to force everyone to play nice and retain their free will.

Now, what I didn't get was why Manhattan didn't disappear all the nukes before they launched. He had that kind of power.

He doesn't get to make that decision for them
The problem with "the ends justify the means" is that it means you're willing to do whatever it takes to your end, even if it kills your humanity

Manhattan is a hypocrite
"Without condoning or condemning, I understand"
Except for you Rorschach, I'll condemn you

Rorschach knew there was nothing he could do and he still died to defend his morals which made him the only one who was right in the whole thing

It makes exploring the environment a lot more fun
How?

Mainly because some parts are rarer than others and the hope of finding one drives you to search the place

I was in constant need of blades and binding in TLOU so where I would normally just sneak past everything, I went through each infected filled room to find stuff
Do you still consider those experiences fun in retrospect? A week after doing them? A month?

Maybe not fun per se but it definitely adds to the game

Crafting systems puts the player in control of what they have in their inventory so I appreciate the management aspect of it
This concept is why I ask
YouTube

Like with anything, it depends on how you use it
The annoying guy in your video acknowledges that
sigh IS IT WELL IMPLEMENTED IN YOUR CASE, OR IS IT MANIPULATIVE PADDING? WHY?

yes lol

Components are rare enough to where searching for them is actually worth your time
There aren't a million different components so I know what each of them are and what they're used for
There is enough overlap from what each component makes so that resource management is an actual factor

And it adds to the feel of the apocalypse when you're scavenging shit to make tools of survival
