There's an argument to be made about women being already untrusting of the system and potential punishment, regardless of how infrequently it's unjustified, could deter them from speaking up.
We need to tell women to step forward but step forward with evidence I think this whole rape culture argument in America is just a big misunderstanding. Nobody is saying they won’t listen to women if they come forward but women can’t come forward and expect to be listened to without question

Virtually no one is saying this. The fact that he had been (and most likely still is) a black-out alcoholic is a witness to his character, and it's absolutely not a good thing. I mean he clearly did it, but the main reason he should've been denied for the position was the way he handled the accusations. I'm not going to indulge the rest of your post because you're very obviously a complete imbecile. I will say this pseudo-intellectual conservatism pushed by con-men like JBP, Ben Shapiro, and Watson have done irreversible damage to impressionable young people and we won't soon recover from it.

Conservative heavy SC now that a bunch of civil rights cases for LGBTQ+ folks are likely going to be hitting the court in the coming years. Yeehaw.
This is probably the saddest part of this whole debacle and all anyone wants to talk about is Trump pardoning himself.
The point here being that this guy and his cronies are destroying the very foundations of American democracy, and if by some miracle the dems are successful in the midterms trump and co will get away with it too. No specific group is going to have the “saddest” outcome, it’s all bad.
And it’s not destroying the foundations of American democracy to bring forward sexual assault allegations as a last second attempt to destroy a man who won’t forward your agenda
Republicans could have crammed Kavanaugh through but they held the hearing, had the investigation, and had a vote
You can flatter Trump but he’s not stronger than two centuries of the most democratic form of government ever created

Their brains go into survival mode and throw away unimportant information. Which is absolutely irrelevant. The unimportant information her brain threw turns out to be vital if you want to actually put together a timeline and gather alibis for both parties 2. Almost everyone, including Republicans, believe Ford was sexually assaulted. It's pretty obvious she was. The talking point of the Republicans is that she "misremembered" her attacker, which according psychologists simply isn't a thing. One psychologist said she could not remember a single case of a sexual assault victim misremembering a known attacker. Republicans are just virtue signaling. They're trying to grant her credibility so they don't get completely mauled by the left. I'll just say it straight, I think she's lying 3. Many trials only have the word of the two parties to go off of. That's why we investigate. More women than Ford came through with testimonies, and Kavanaugh's college roommate even said that he was known for getting black-out drunk and aggressive, and although he had never seen it first hand himself, after talking without other contemporaries of the time, had heard some stories that absolutely fit the narrative. All without collaborative evidence either. The strongest additional testimony was Ramirez and even that was shaky with her admitting there were holes in her memory and strong evidence that she was driven on by Democrats to come forward. For every allegation of Kavanaugh being a blackout drunk, there are an equal amount refuting them. Dan Murphy, another college roommate, has said that he has never seen Kavanaugh black out and that's he's always treated women with respect But lets not forget the claim here is rape, not that he drank a lot. You cannot say the man raped a woman because he drank. It's a pathetic show to see you and every other democrat go from rape, to drinking, to he shouldn't be on the SC because he got mad when accused with rape.

I would be satisfied with due process. We convict people of crimes all the time without any of those 3 things you suggested.
I can confidently say that if they managed to have an actual investigation, and came up with only their dick in their hands as far as evidence, I would accept Kavanaugh's confirmation. I still do not think he would be well-suited for the job for a myriad of reasons (partisanship, temperament, professional career history) but he would at least be a reasonable choice as far as this administration goes.
No, instead what we got was a farce of an investigation, and the message to the women of America (who already get criticised when they don't come forward with sexual assault allegations) that they won't be listened to.
No What we got was a woman who made a claim about something that happened decades ago in an unspecified place and unspecified time with no corroborative evidence. A claim she didn’t tell anybody until decades later. We literally have nothing but her word against his yet she’s more believable for some reason? There is no case here

if someone who sexually assaulted me was up for a Supreme Court nomination simply because he was the only judge willing to pardon the president in the event of impeachment, you can bet your ass i'd come forward and try to inform people on just exactly the kind of person they're putting on the supreme court.
you can mock "guilty until proven innocent" or try to say this was all the Dems doing to try and ruin Kavanaugh's reputation all you want but Ford and the other victims were denied a proper investigation by the FBI. this entire trial was a complete farce.

i think it would actually be pretty difficult, given how your brain just sort of rattles around in your head like a grain of sand, so it might be kinda hard to know precisely where to aim at any given moment
