The Flood / 2OO1: A Space Odyssey« on: April 25, 2015, 01:06:22 PM »
SPOILERS MATIES
Holy fuck that last segment was trippy To think that this movie came out before the first moon landing and before people began to have today's common knowledge of space Absolutely mind blowing Not to mention the fact that this was a perfection in terms of filmmaking No cliches and shit Straight to the point The attention to detail was amazing Stanley really knew his shit The practical effects are still better than most today I was a bit bored at the beginning when he dragged out the space sequences but I understand now that it was all perspective No one had seen or done such a thing before and it must've been amazing to watch it back then Just like how Gravity is visually amazing today, it must've been that way for 2OO1 back then Anyways Now to discuss the real meat The ending HOLY FUCK That was trippy I read somewhere that it was suppose to be that the aliens who sent the monoliths were the peacekeepers of the universe or something They placed the monolith on the moon as a beacon to alert them when humanity was advanced enough and might cause trouble The monolith on Jupiter was meant to transport Dave to their world where they observed him for the rest of his life and then sent him back to Earth as a god to see what he would do with his power But anyone think that the room was in the fourth dimension? In the fourth dimension you gain access to the axis of time as well as the length, height, and depth dimensions of the third dimensions This could be why Dave was seeing himself in the various stages of his life Also, could it be possible that the beings were in the fifth dimension? In the fifth dimension, you gain access to 'alternate worlds' which could be how they had the power to do all that shit I don't know But it was awesome What do you guys think? 11254

The Flood / Re: Avengers: Age of Ultron« on: April 23, 2015, 07:47:20 PM »Not sure if trolling or just bad reading comprehension. I never claimed that all reviews are bad. You, on the contrary, claimed that all reviews were positive. I simply showed you otherwise. Two major Belgian outlets rated the movie a 0.5 and 1.5 out of 5 stars, going as far as calling the movie "a terrible failure, an overwhelming disappointment and the coldest movie shower of the year so far." They criticized the heavily convoluted plot, overly chaotic action scenes, boring bad guys, predictability and lacking verbal interaction between the cast. That Whedon's talent as a director, clearly shown by Serenity, Firefly and Cabin in the Woods, fell victim to the "Ridley Scott-disease", as in the abandoning of talented simplicity for CGI and impersonal action. Too much action becomes boring and gets in the way of any involvement you feel.Nah. Not my type of movie and reviews are confirming exactly what I already feared / expected. Might torrent it in a few months, but I can't say I care much. When I said 'all', I thought it was implied that I meant most Of course there would be bad reviews You used that one review to discredit the movie so I just pointed out that it meant pretty much nothing 11270
