Just because I actually watched that, I'll take the time to type a comment
There are always many sides to every problem. Just because she's a bitch don't mean that the dad is the hero and she's totally wrong. Honestly, she's a mother. She can't just be expected to give up her son like that. But she shouldn't just treat him like he has no say in anything. There are problems to both sides.
The mother acts like her word is final and like her son is completely stupid. She thinks that just because he's a child, all he has to say is irrelevant. She says she listens but she's just waiting for him to stop speaking so she can tell him how wrong he is. When she says "we can discuss this", I can totally tell that what she means is "we can discuss this but I won't accept anything but my own solution".
But she's not wrong. She's a mother and she does really care about him even though she goes about it the completely wrong way. She can't be expected to just suddenly give him up.
The father sounds like he does listen and empathizes with him more. But honestly, they can't just show up and say "oh by the way, I'm taking him". He should've called ahead and tried to schedule a group meeting or something. It probably wouldn't have worked but the point would've been that he tried.
The kid does have a major say in this but he does sound a little impulsive. I hate to use the teenage hormone argument but he does sound like he just wants the easy way out of being annoyed by his mother.
The point is that both sides are wrong and right. The father should've called ahead. The mother needs to actually listen to her child. This extends beyond one talk in a truck and reaches beyond what this one video can show us. The point is that it's not one dimensional and we shouldn't just judge the mother because she's a bitch or the kid because he's just a kid.
