The Crusades actually helped reopen the western world to eastern things, like spices, medicine, and other shit loads of things.

If anything, it helped get them out of the horrible Dark Ages.

The only consistency is the faction that's about as bad as the Nazi's lol.
Pretty sure ISIS is worse than Nazis, they just aren't as good at the logistics of being bad.
Agreed. I felt that way but didn't wanna make the claim without people calling me retarded :(

The whole "Big gubbermint is bad" movement came when Reagan's dumbass was in office and he took apart some key government programs that fucked the country up.

He wasn't as great a president as Republicans make him out to be. Average at best.

Republicans - Not for big government enforced laws until it suits their needs (aka abortion, gun legislature, planned parenthood, etc).

Rand Paul called them out on that.

tfw know literally nothing about the Crusades
Don't feel bad. Most people don't.
My World Politics professor briefly talked about them during a lecture on the history of imperialism, but all I can remember was basically just, "This shit was atrocious."
Wiki is your friend, m8. Look them up, or some videos on em. Gigantic religious wars are fun.

Most people don't know much about the crusades, and most people who do only know about Jerusalem
Probably because the first one was the only successful one lol.

And there were more than just 4, but people like to officially round it to that. I know there was one with a bunch of kids and some "merchants" said they'd let them travel with them. They did, then ended up being slaves lol.

Didn't Adam Sandler do something similar?

If peeing your pants is cool, consider me miles davis.

The Islamic incursion had to be stopped.
The world would be a much better place if we could have saved Christian Byzantium.
Ironic that those very people are the ones that destroyed the Eastern Romans sooner and left them open to the Turks.

yea If the classic roman empire could survive for longer we would live in a more advanced society.
Well the "Classic" Roman empire (as in the one everyone thinks about) was the Western one which fell in 476. The Eastern, or Byzantines, were really more Greek than anything and lost almost all traces of their original origins of the West. Still, to survive for over a thousand years is insane.

Id say either Mao or Stalin
Mao killed the most people in human history via genocide (49-78 million deaths). It goes to him easily.
