It seems like you accidentally a prostitute
The reference is lost on you, dear.

Forgive me for wanting to play the game the way I want to

Why even add the option for killing if you're not supposed to
No dummy. It's not the fact of playing how you want to. Do it, go for it. There is no "right" way to play, I'm just explaining the true ending means you have to go full pacifist.

I'm calling you dense because you're being so obtuse about the entire situation in general and how you're approaching/finishing the game. You just SOUND stupid about it is what I'm saying. Not saying you are, just how you're presenting it.

The difficulties in Fallout suck though. It's literally just how much more of a bullet sponge the enemy becomes. No less loot drops, no higher prone condition wearing or less critical hits. Just... bullet sponge.

I let Ian stay with the family since he's more accepted around them. Him going by himself would just repeat it.
Have you done everything there is to be done in this game?
I have. The way I ended it was retiring to my home in Megaton, getting on it, and then saving.

It was basically my way of saying the Lone Wanderer has "earned a rest".
that's how i'd like to end it, too
Just go to Old Olney for one final great battle with your weakest armor and strongest melee weapon.
You're so OP by level 15 in that game anyway, so you'd somehow probably still win.

Can't actually think of anything awful Bethesda has done
Made Fallout 3 of course

God you're a very dense person. I hope you're trolling.

And why this isn't in gaming, I'll never know. You defending TWD as a good choice game is pretty shit too, considering nothing you do matters in that game in the end.

HOW DO YOU GUYS NOT HATE ROCKSTAR?
I don't "like" Rockstar, but I don't exactly hate them enough to full on boycott them either. I veiw Rockstar about the same way I view Gearbox and Bethesda: They're lesser evils.
I gotta ask. Out of all the developers/producers, how is Bethesda on the shit list?

^

Which nets you the true ending/all the extra crap that makes the game memorable. In the advertisements/trailers it's marketed to you to not kill anyone.

Also, the greatness of the story comes out when you do the pacifist run. Meaning you don't kill anyone, because then you can get the true ending and all the characters personalities show, as well as the writing. And if you haven't caught on by now (god help you), the monsters aren't evil.

If you're just randomly killing people, you're gonna finish the game half assed with a "meh" ending for the most part. You'll also be missing a handful of characters and reveals.
that flower has made me paranoid af

and what do you mean, don't kill anyone? What about all of these random encounters?
Have you ever gone to the mercy option or act and tried to see what they do?

Just because they're random encounters doesn't mean they're evil.

But there are always 2nd playthroughs. Play how you want.

Serious / Re: Why should transgenderism be something we "accept"?
« on: October 27, 2015, 10:24:52 PM »
The thing is normal people can never really invalidate the whole concept of transgenderism. If someone feels like they're a different sex than what they're born, I can't really say they're full of shit or have some kind of mental illness (which is sort of is by definition). That being said I can't say they're hurting anyone, I just will never understand it and am glad I don't have to suffer with an identity issue like that.
I never understood the thought process of, just because you don't understand or "get" something, it means you suddenly have to dislike or disapprove of it.

I'm not just referring to trans/gay issues, I mean in general
I'm not saying I disapprove if that's what you're saying. But if not, I agree. But when you really look at it, the lack of understanding something about a group of people makes you want to turn to stereotypes and assumptions to fill the void. It's just how we are, and when something is truly understood, then acceptance is easy.
That's true. You sound just like my mother.

>tfw i loved the metro
I always felt like I was the only person who liked the metro.
They're enjoyable if you know how to navigate them :P

It was cool actually going to DC (my mother took me in 2008 to see Obama get inaugurated. Historical things, blah blah) and just going in the Metro's and thinking the whole time "Hmmm Fallout 3 nailed a lot of this", minus the scaling for some things obviously.

At the time, I was obsessed with Fallout more than I probably should have been. Back in 2008 it was so incredible to me. Being 15 probably helped.

We're talking about major factors to join, silly guys.

Fallout 3 only had 1 in that regard, but if you're talking about factions in GENERAL? There was like Enclave, BoS, Outcast, Slavers, Talon Company (they need more screen time and meaning), Rileys Rangers... Uhhh that's all I can think of in base game. DLC not included.

There's also the Regulators (who also needed a tad more explaining. I guess they were just supposed to contrast Talon Company), and I guess Tenpenny's lot and the ghouls trying to get in...

Wouldn't technically the Enclave still be counted as a playable side, considering you can help Eden out in the base game with the modified FEV, and in Broken Steel you can use the Enclave Mobile Crawler to nuke the Citadel from orbit?
I guess, but at that point it feels like you're just a rogue agent. No one aside from Eden considers you a member of them, no quests from them, etc.

Thalmor just have an uncanny way of benefitting from literally every event no matter the outcome.

They can't benefit if they're dead, like all prissy pointy-eared asshole should be. 'Cept the orcs, they're cool.

THREE FACTIONS LMAO

Eh.

FNV had 3 (4 if you technically count yourself), F3 had 2, and prior to that it was... 1?
Basically. Fallout 2 you couldn't join the Enclave I don't think. Fallout 1 you can go "lol" and become a Super Mutant, but it was just a dead end.

So yeah, one faction. Fallout 1 being yourself/Vault people

2 being NCR (barely since they were such a small faction. Like town small)/Brotherhood of Steel.

8816
I couldn't care less about this series. Be it insanely good or really really bad, I just have zero interest in the series at this point. Have fun to those who got it, but yeah. Not my cup of tea.

What's the difference between siding with them or the Imperials? The quest line is the same shit and the only changes that happening are model changes for the guards and people in charge.
We're talking from a lore perspective and not how they actually implement it in game.

8818
geez it would be nice if they would add more than three factions
I don't see the problem, if the factions are very lacking, than yeah it'll  suck, but it IS Bethesda we're talking about so I'm sure it'll be packed.
I suppose but muh enclave
I know what you mean, but I'm sure we will see something enclave related at least.
I'm going to be pretty pissed if they go the Fallout 3 route and make them a hostile group that you don't have the option to join. Tbh if they're going to do that just don't even put them in the game.
In every game the Enclave are in, they are evil. In Fallout 2 they wanted to gas the planet and kill anyone slightly irradiated, so the population would basically go extinct. There is literally no redeeming factor about them other than the remnants who are old enough to know the mistakes they did.
>implying i don't want to be evil
You could be in Fallout 3 though.
but i couldn't join the enclave
YOU COULD IN SPIRIT D'x

Hmm i figured it would be impossible to fight that thing because its massive and megaflare would wipe everyone and everything out
It kinda is considering they made him for the sake of blowing up 1.0 world (the horrible MMO). They planned on that happening before, but since 1.0 was so god awful, they sped it up. So that trailer is the end of 1.0 and then the new world is 2.0 and the start of Realm Reborn.
