Like shit, I've been holding out for Fallout 4 for months, I didn't buy a single game prior (because they all look meh) and just modded the fuck out of FO3 and NV to keep my occupied. OP is gunna feel remorse for this in a week
Pretty much this. I'm at that stage now though where nothing appeals to me because it's literally right around the corner. Same feeling I had for MGS V. I HAVE games I can enjoy, but they just don't appeal to me because of me waiting for FO4.

Urgh the gunplay in New Vegas is what's stopping me from playing it. It's such a chore.
It's better on PC since you don't have to rely on VATS. Just get Project Nevada mod and it's even better.

Very well. Actually from what the writing staff said (they were very upset), they said the top guy (i cant remember names) and one or two others locked themselves in a room and did the ending. The whole writing staff didn't do it together.
A lot of shady stuff goes in on developing.
Casey Hudson pretty much locked the rest of the writing team out and made the ending himself

I've played most Beth games... I thought they'd have upped the bar because this is 2015.
Saying Beth would up the bar on animations (it's a modified Skyrim engine, that alone shoulda told you something) is like saying Bioware will know how to write endings to games.
And people blame me for being supposedly too pessimistic about the gaming industry...
There is a difference between just focusing on all the shit, letting the internet alter your opinions on a game, and instantly writing it off. A different one when stating facts. Did Fallout 3 have a meh story? Yeah, but it had a lot of amazing things too. Did Mass Effect 3 have a bad ending? Duh, blame it on EA and rushing since that's all they do. Doesn't mean ME still didn't have a story that drew tons of people in and was enjoyable. At least until they explained the origins of the Reapers... Why do some games as they go on feel the need to explain everything about the origin of ambiguous factions or people? It ruins what fans have built on theory together and just robs us of using our imagination.

So you're saying it's fine for FNV to copy music from all previous games because the same company developed it, but Bethesda (who created 3 and 4) shouldn't copy over music because...?
No one replied to this I don't think. Which is odd. Reused music can be just fine, especially NV where when you went to a few areas, they used FO 1/2 ost's. It was fine. I don't mind Bethesda re-using some of their OST's since they weren't even bad. Just please change that military bunker one. Got sick of hearing that.

They look fine to me.
Because they really haven't improved from Skyrim and a lot of them are actually recycled from it. Oh well, at least PC and Boner players will be able to mod their games and give the characters better animations.
I mean, why do people freak out over the quality of graphics? Why does that matter? Why is that one of the most defining aspect for some people?
Well on the PC side of things the requirements are waaay too high for what the game is actually offering which means that Fallout 4 is an unoptimized piece of shit.
