It's not that black and white. There isn't just "impossibly attractive" and "fat and ugly"--there's a middle ground.
Alyx (I basically consider her the paragon of female characters right now) reaches that middle ground pretty well.
She's not ugly, but she's not impossibly beautiful to the point where you start questioning the motives of the developers.

The sex scenes barely show anything, and it's more movie tier. It's just as much fanservice for Shepard as well. It's not a big deal.

Quiet can go burn in hell. They did a fanservice character in MGS3 in the name of Eva, and they actually had a reason behind it and she had a strong character. Her fanservice was what she used as the typical spy thing, but it didn't define her character entirely.
Quiet is literally just a walking T&A show for no reason other than "she needs sun", BUT THAT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE BECAUSE THAT WAS THE SAME REASON IN MGS3 AND IT WAS AN OLD MAN IN A GHILLIE SUIT!

It doesn't have breast physics, and there is nothing "seductive" in that game she gives at all, seeing as she's always getting stabbed and shot at. In fact the first hour of that game is basically "how many ways can Lara get fucked up?"
