Oh. In that regard, come into it expecting it like Game of Thrones, where tits are just out just to be there.
So, it's the worst type of smut?

Well, thank you for at least being honest with me...
Worst type? You've not seen the L Word.

But no, it's not nearly as often or long on screen or camera panning to breasts as GoT is.

I just don't understand why there has to be so much fucking smut in it.
There isn't even that much. It's all optional anyway, depending on your choices.
i don't trust your standards

you were the one who told me there was zero smut a long time ago
He's not wrong. It'll help you out lore wise, but you don't NEED to play them. In fact there are good summary videos that help you out with it, considering the combat in the first 2 wasn't exactly good.
Oh, okay--you thought I was still on about the first two Witcher games. I wasn't. I'm referring to the level of smut in the games, not the games themselves. I don't trust Lemon's standards when it comes to evaluating the amount of porn the game has.

Of course the first two games would help with the lore--I don't really care, though--I just hate sex scenes.
Oh. In that regard, come into it expecting it like Game of Thrones, where tits are just out just to be there. Not much else though. The maturity of the game (I mean like the atmosphere/story/politics) is so much better than a lot of shit. Like, the big bad empire that takes over, Nilfgaard (I call em milfgaard), isn't just some empire that goes "hurr durr we conquer everything, we're evil hehe".

They actually come in to a destabilized area, capitalize on the turmoil and weakened armies, conquer, re-build, and tax the citizens. LIKE AN EMPIRE WOULD. And not some outrageous evil rules that harm the citizens.

I dunno, I thought it was a nice touch and such a breath of fresh air from the horrible stereotypes media has produced. And when they talk about war, they're not shy to talk about rape, murder, and pillaging. Something that actually happens in wars.

...Really? Don't be stupid.
No, I believe you--I'm really sure that seeing an old guy nailing some dumb whore is super integral to the overall story.
No, you genius, I'm talking about video summaries of 1 and 2 and the story/factions that are involved in them. That way when a character pops up in the 3rd one you know who they are and what they've done instead of going "who's dis here pillik?"

The games been hyped up so much to me that there's no way I won't be disappointed. The same thing happened for me with Dragon Age: Inquisition and Half Life 2. I don't want to be disappointed by what should be a decent game again.
Sounds to me like that's your own fault and not the games. If you go in just expecting a decent time and story and not the mother of all games HL3returnspraisegabbin, then you'd be fine.

For any game really. Who hypes games up now a days anyway? What're we, 15?

There's no way the Witcher was that fucking good.
Constant badgering from Witcher shills is what's preventing me from getting it. It's like Half Life 2 all over again.

That and the combat looks like ass.
"So many people love the game and recommend it to others, so I just hate it."

Or you could, I dunno, maybe try it for yourself before you judge it.
The hype surrounding a game can often ruin it for other people. You know this.
Is it the games fault when so many people talk about how they enjoy it? Or the person listen listening to their positives and getting false expectations? I didn't listen to anyone or the trailers around it (last I checked the advertising wasn't huge, at least not on a Fallout 4 level. But I wasn't paying attention either) and ended up playing and enjoying it.

Recommending a game is fine but people shoving it down your throat gets annoying and is just off-putting.
Constantly hearing about the game in video game discussions =/= shoving it down your throat if you ask me. Unless you have actual friends consistently bugging you about it.

Why do the Brotherhood randomly speak Latin. Can anyone make a faction worship some ancient values without circle jerking over Latin or Rome?

None of the villains in episode 7 are as good as any of the prequel/original villains. Even if they were more 2 dimensional in some cases. Maybe since Kylo Ren is struggling with light and dark it's more of a wavering deal, but that general for the First Order doesn't even touch someone like Tarkin.

The eye patch doesn't bother me all too much. I have a few eyepatches of my own, and the 3 straps is a lot more dependable.
Yeah I know it's more stable. It's just not Big Boss ;~;

It'd be like Solid Snake without his bandana, ya dig?

Bit of a bump. Finally installed a model swap for Big Boss. Gotta say I enjoy it much more without the horn, scars, and the damn pony tail. Also the three strap eye piece bugged me. BB is iconic for that two strap.

Glorious. I couldn't agree more -- I wish there was a head option for no ponytail. It just looks waaay better.
Yeah. I don't mind the horn and scars, but the eye patch and hair bug me.

I mean, you CAN get his hair in the mullet, but you need to wear the bandana, but that defeats all of his character evolution in Peace Walker.

In her video on sexualization in gaming, she showed segments of RDR, which pissed me off. There was footage of John hogtying and carrying a girl, but.. You can do that to anybody, and there's no incentive to do it to only girls. Sure, there are prostitutes, but almost everyone in that game's setting is scum, that's the point of Red Dead Redemption. Mostly everybody in that environment is the lowest of the low, and even acknowledging that, there are plenty of very strong female characters in the game. Bonnie and Abagail, specifically. And John is incredibly respectful to women throughout the game.

That sort of misinformation makes me angry.
yeah but RDR has nothing to do with this video
I think he's on about consistency with her stuff. Making exceptions to the general rule is a very dangerous thing if you ask me.

And on another random note, I wonder if people get mad when they put games in certain time periods. Like in AC2, there were prostitutes, which was a legal thing. Would she get mad seeing them?

Or in Fallout New Vegas how Caesar's Legion treats women

Or in some ancient games where there are no black people in England.

Or in Bioshock Infinite how they had "WHITES ONLY" signs based on the Jim Crow era.

Basically getting mad at how people/situations were in real time lines/cultures is what I'm getting at. There is no point to. Showing how things were =/= racist or misogynistic.

I don't like her opinions on a lot of things because she seems to focus on how people look and dress, rather than the character they have

which completely goes against what I was taught to look at with people
oh yeah, sorry--i forgot to put your trigger warning on this one :P

I also knew she'd automatically like it simply because Rey was the main lead. It's kind of obvious how she'll take things.
