Obviously.

Libel, slander, incitement to violence, classified information, trade secrets, copyright, NDAs and the right to privacy.
Is this a definitive list?
I'd say it's pretty good.

and then just proceed to do absolutely nothing about the flawed status quo

So recognizing the inefficacy of reactionary policy means that I, personally, have to devise some sort of legislation to solve America's gun crime problem?
I was more so referring to politicians and people who say "it ain't gonna do nuffin" and offer no counter alternatives that are at all realistic in a government who's entire right wing is bought out by the NRA. Obviously dramatic, but it's a big issue, the gun lobby. Anyway, g2g.

So the solution is to waste political capital doing something useless?

Stagnation is superior to regression.

Not that I agree with him, but that's the point he's making.
I don't think it's regression at all though

I'd argue my point but I g2g. I'm sure someone will speak in favor for it while I'm gone. See ya.

Posted my views in the other thread. Off-topic but related question: how many of 2015's high-profile shootings would have been prevented by a background check? Because I have a suspicion the answer is "none", so this is really just useless legislation.
I like how people say this though

Services are not a right.
Sure they are, or at least can be.

If I walk into a clinic with a deadly, infectious disease you better believe I have the right--and so does everybody else in the clinic--to force somebody to call the CDC. If I'm in a wheelchair with a gun, and some guy is walking past a drowning baby you better believe I'd be morally correct to coerce him into saving it.

Lightning didn't have any to begin with so you didn't lose much. Hopping through alternate timelines and affecting the future through your actions was fun and interesting. You're just a loser.
I am a loser :<

Eh, I liked her character in 13. She started off as a cold bitch who actually warmed up (though why it had to be with Hope of all people, I don't know), and in the end accepted a lot of things she initially rejected, such as her sister marrying Troy Baker.

The only characters I liked in that were Troy Baker and Afro Ninja.

Edit: And no, none of them are connected unless specifically have a -2 by them like X-2 and 13-2, but those aren't worth playing. They all have reoccurring themes like crystals and summon monsters, but their stories are entirely contained within said games.

Go fuck yourself, 13-2 was good.
Yeah

That story about time and further removing any real human emotions/connections from Lightning is just what we need in a series that thrives on narration and its characters.

The 13 series was a disaster.

He did this song as well. Turn the captions on and give it a listen, it's pretty deep. It seems to fit some of your thinking with a lot of things in life.

Doesn't matter, it's turn based. It's just easier than mouse and keyboard.

Dualshock 4 controller it is.

How much is it on steam?

Cheaper on the 2nd link

I leave the decision up to you

I'd recommend PC if you have a controller. If not, go phone

Which controller would be best?

Seriously though, that opening does the rendition of the main FF them amazingly well. Though I still think this one is undoubtedly the best

https://youtu.be/hQnUNqk43AE?t=1200

It's so powerful and beautiful to me. A lot of what Uematsu (the composer of FF 1-10 and then the original version of the MMO of FF 14) is one of the most renowned video game composers.

Aka: GIVE IT A LISTEN PLEASE!

As in, it's on the app store, and steam. Whichever you want.

Is it on Google Play or whatever? And which would you recommend -- PC or mobile?

And Yuri Lowenthal voices the main character, so you can have Simone from TTGL with you. Liam O'Brian is the friend.

I don't know what any of this means, lol.

The only ones I can realistically play are FF7 when it's released, and FFX. Would that be enough?
Well you don't really need to play them all, they don't have a connected story as I edited above.

I'd say try FF 4 if you can. It's not that tough to run in the slightest on PC, and it's also on phones. Easily one of the better soundtracks (they teach one of the songs in Japanese music classes when studying music because it's so well done) and stories.

Just look at the opening. Great.

I'm so hyped for FFXV despite never playing a FF game nor knowing anything about the game. I discovered it a few hours ago and watched all the trailers.
Jfc

educate yourself, child

Play some of the older ones before the main installments (minus the MMO's) went to shit.

Which ones? And how do I play them?
Well rule of thumb

1-3 almost have no story. Well 2 does, but the combat system sucks, ANYWAY

if you have a PC and steam, they have FF 3 and 4 (i'd recommend 4. In my top 3) there. And FF 7 is getting remade, so you can wait for that.

If you have a PS4, FF X got a remaster. FF6 is on mobiles which I felt is one of the better ones. A lot of old school FF fans will tell you it's the best one.

Edit: And no, none of them are connected unless specifically have a -2 by them like X-2 and 13-2, but those aren't worth playing. They all have reoccurring themes like crystals and summon monsters, but their stories are entirely contained within said games.

Hell yeah.

The funny thing is they didn't actually meet. They did that interview in two separate countries. He was lying.

Still, with people like Cruz and Trump (I'm not counting him) leading, I am not confident in anything of a plan.

Yeah, you shouldn't be. None of the candidates care about replacing the plan as much as President Obama cared about implementing it. It's kind of a shame the ACC turned out the way it did, because after all that effort we could've seen some real healthcare reform that addressed the root of the problems.
The only thing we can hope at this point is to fine tune and improve it as we go on I suppose. And I'm happy both Clinton and Sanders are saying it does need improvement.

Or Sanders at least.

Russians also don't have Freedom of the press (hence Putin somehow having like 87% approval rating. It's not true). I dunno why I said religion though. I knew they didn't get oppressed in that.

but it honestly seems the Republicans are saying "repeal Obamacare and overhaul", but they've not once mentioned WHAT THEY PLAN TO DO DIFFERENT >:C.

Well yeah but President Obama didn't do much different when he was running, either. The general outline didn't at all compare to the massive piece of legislation the ACC turned out to be.
Oh, that's actually a good point.

Still, with people like Cruz and Trump (I'm not counting him) leading, I am not confident in anything of a plan. Rubio outlined some plans and it sounded kind of appealing to hear, but again anything does when you're pitching it to someone.

But can you please tell me why people actually being able to get, what is considering by every other 1st world western nation, a basic human right, that healthcare is bad?
"Everybody else is doing it" means nothing. Services are not a right.

This is probably an issue where we're not going to be able to come to an agreement, because I do not believe in positive rights, only negative rights. The idea that it is a person's right to receive something from someone else is ridiculous and offensive.

I don't really think a state-backed or state-run medical system is all that problematic if you're going to have a state in the first place (which, I think, you shouldn't). It may even be good policy depending on the situation.

But calling it a "right" is fucking stupid.
I disagree with most of that for a number of reasons, but again this is where ideologies fall on different sides of the fences.

Maybe another time I'll get into it, but honestly, I need to learn more about how healthcare works in this country. I only know the bare basics of it all, and feel about as lost sometimes as I do when people talk economics.

No Mans Sky looks like a cartoony/more casual version of Elite Dangerous

but with actual features in it

I'll get it. I like the art direction.
