As if we didn't need more evidence that "betas" are limited time demos and a marketing ploy
Also, this is not true. Beta's that release a few weeks before, maybe, but it's a lot of times used to tweak a multiplayer balancing system, find glitches, and give the servers stress tests.

Beta's that come out clearly a few months before, aren't marketing ploys.

When is America gonna fall from political instability and lack to do anything like Rome?
Why would America turn out like Rome when it isn't half as corrupt and none of the politicians wear skirts and fuck other men?
Let me dream, okay?

2 of those 3 are true!

Why was it necessary to change Faith again?
*Shrug*

Maybe they wanted more of a narrative story and whatever.

FF7 is the best FF game. I always felt really disappointed when I tried to play the others and they were just shit compared to 7 :/
Final fantasy 4 and 6 would like to have a worth with you. 7 is good, and my childhood game, but even I can tell when something is way too overrated.

This is really cool

but why is the Buster Sword so popular when it's the worst weapon in that game? It's easily the most overrated piece of shit sword.

Gee I have no idea

That's an interesting idea. I personally don't believe in a god or heaven (at least not how the bible tells it if I ever did fancy the thought), but it's definitely a different take on it all.

But uhh, I'll answer with the run in the mill answer.

Just finished it.

Ehhhh, it wasn't what I hoped like, at all. It wasn't BAD, but it wasn't great. The banter between everyone was good, and ever since Index/Stockings voice actress voices Bulma, she's literally adorable. But Frieza was on the weak end too much, there was no real fight ever, etc. It was just them toying with him, and Vegeta never even fought really.

Animation was very lovely though, and the dialogue between Frieza and Goku was great. Still, it boiled down to playing on what it held in our hearts as kids, and then under delivered in that regard.

Battle of the Gods easily was the better of them, but I think if they make movies again, they need to go back in time or something. Maybe a movie with Teen Gohan and Cell fighting again. Or adult Gohan trained to the point he's as strong as he was as a kid.

Still, he shined the most as a kid and everyone freaking loved Teen Gohan minus the Goku fanboys who clamored that it wasn't right and thus he got nerfed worse than a CoD weapon and turned into Gay Saiyaman but THAT'S another story.

Cell vs Gohan wouldn't be a bad one to ponder. It was easily as memorable as Goku vs Frieza. Who DOESN'T remember that broken arm one handed kamehameha? It was easily the biggest set piece/desperation moment in the entire series if you ask me.

Oh right, thanks for reminding me. I waited for a while to see Resurrection due to dub taking a bit, so I forgot about it. Downloading it now to watch tonight. I'll let you know.

Who the hell is Charlmange?????
Charlemagne, also known as Charles the Great. or Charles I, was King of the Franks. He united most of Western Europe during the early Middle Ages and laid the foundations for modern France and Germany. He took the Frankish throne in 768 and became King of Italy from 774. From 800 he became the first Holy Roman Emperor — the first recognized emperor in Western Europe since the fall of the Western Roman Empire three centuries earlier. While Charlemagne already ruled his kingdom without the help of the Pope, recognition from the pontiff granted him divine legitimacy in the eyes of his contemporaries.[2]

The expanded Frankish state Charlemagne founded was called the Carolingian Empire.

The oldest son of Pepin the Short and Bertrada of Laon, Charlemagne became king in 768 following the death of his father. He was initially co-ruler with his brother Carloman I. Carloman's sudden death in 771 under unexplained circumstances left Charlemagne as the undisputed ruler of the Frankish Kingdom. Charlemagne continued his father's policy towards the papacy and became its protector, removing the Lombards from power in northern Italy, and leading an incursion into Muslim Spain. He also campaigned against the Saxons to his east, Christianizing them upon penalty of death, leading to events such as the Massacre of Verden. Charlemagne reached the height of his power in 800 when he was crowned Emperor of the Romans by Pope Leo III on Christmas Day at Old St. Peter's Basilica.

Called the "Father of Europe" (pater Europae),[3] Charlemagne united most of Western Europe for the first time since the Roman Empire. His rule spurred the Carolingian Renaissance, a period of energetic cultural and intellectual activity within the Church. Both the French and German monarchies considered their kingdoms to be descendants of Charlemagne's empire.

Charlemagne died in 814, having ruled as emperor for just over thirteen years. He was laid to rest in his imperial capital of Aachen in what is today Germany. His son Louis the Pious succeeded him.

It's worth noting that everything Icy is saying could also be applied to Trump as well.
Yuh

like I said, they're two sides of the same coin. One just offers hateful and xenophobic rhetoric to fuel it, though as it's gone on he has toned it down insanely.

That you're voting in someone who is going to get nothing done?

To some people, no.
To smart people, yes.

Nothing changing > Changing for the worse.

If a system is terribly broken, I'll take my chance with the person who may actually get shit done.
Getting shit done in an already horrible cesspool, won't fix anything. Sanders base message is people are frustrated with the asinine government. Same with Trump. They're both insanely similar, but on different parties.

I hope, cuz if Hillary is elected, I'm taking my chances with the refugees in Germany.
Idk if this is funny sarcasm like the people who go "if X is elected then I'm moving to Canada!" without realizing its policies are more left than the ones they want back.

Well duh, no one needs reminding of that. However, there is news for you. People hold terms for a number of years.

An idea can last forever if getting enough support with it.

Regardless of if Sanders wins or loses the primaries, he's already had a lasting impact on the way the Democratic party positions itself. He drove it more left and more focused on populous issues. He's doing to Hillary Clinton, what Trump and Cruz did to Jeb Bush (and that is making a moderate either adapt to the further left/right movement, or be stuck in the middle and fade out).

Serious / Re: Does Bernie Panders actually have a shot of winning?

In a general election? No.
The same can be said about Cruz and Trump.

Not against Bernie. Bernie gets swept by any Republican.

How do you reason?

Because no one in their right mind over the age of 30 will vote for him.
And no one in their right mind would vote for a backwards religious nut like Cruz, except for over a 60% evangelical state.

« on: February 03, 2016, 01:20:31 PM »
From what I've gathered, at a caucus people can convince others to chance their vote right? all they had to do was have a discussion, but instead they do something silly. I don't expect perfection or anything close to it from democracy, but decision by coin toss does defeat the point of voting.
The probably did have a discussion and each side wanted their side to win.

[quote author=Cadenza link=topic=55969.msg1131718#msg1131718 date=1454523884I just find it laughable that when given the chance of deciding who could be the next president, people can leave it to a coin toss.
[/quote]It's not. One caucus =/= the entire thing, and there are only 15 states out of the 50 that use caucus's. The rest are just walk in and pull.

And Iowa has always had this one off decision for a lot of people, especially republicans.

Quote
There were six tie breakers between Sanders and Clinton, and they were all decided with a coin toss.
It was either that though or the people there being disenfranchised. No one said democracy was perfect.
