Every shooter is a paint job with that logic
As far as CoD and BF go, yes.
Until this one yes.
I don't think Battlefield 3 was a reskin of Bad Company or 2. When they actually have more than a year to develop, they actually, ya know, do different things.

It'll be hard to do a paintjob of a modern shooter in a WW1 setting.

Aircraft for example will function completely differently due to their lack of lock on missiles and AA will have to be done via flak emplacements. Two seater planes have already been confirmed as back gunners are present meaning that you'll have to rely on your teammates to be your counter measure.
So....a paint job? A plane's a plane.

Not really.

You know what actually is a paint job though? Final Fantasy.

Also the bigger presence of melee, the different classes of tanks, absence of attack boats/ helicopters/ rpgs/ assault rifles/ LAVs and stuff like horses, artillery, battleships, airships, larger presence of bolt-action rifles and chemical warfare make it hard to just do a reskin
They've been working on it for 3 years. It's not a year after release, so no it's not a reskin.

that too

But I more meant that the sheer amount of changes fundamentally change how the game plays

I'm really excited to see gameplay of this now. Hopefully the open beta will leave good impressions, too. Here's hoping Rush becomes the central mode of the game and they design the maps around it.
Agreed

A plane from the 1900's functions different than a plane in the 2000's.

Lawrence huh? Should be cool. I also forgot we'll unironically be able to play as the Filthy Turks, and then the amazing German Empire on the other front.

So we can actually remove kebab?
We can get justice for the tragedy of 1453.

The game is literally just announced and they're already announcing DLC? Classic EA.
They always do that with BF

No surprise really. And no I'm not saying it makes it okay.

I hope psu gets aborted

lol.

How can you people hate on the sports games "community"?

Basically you are all just racist as fuck and scared to admit it.
I think they just mean the general stereotype. For example I'm not exactly a big fan of the Moba/Smash community because they come off as try hardy overly competitive ass hats.

Sports community is usually stereotyped as dude bro's or the stupidest sports fans (the ones who legit overly invest in teams/get legit pissed off from a team losing/get into fights over teams).

based battlefield devs

Graphics =/= quality.

If only DICE understood that when developing Battlefront.
Graphics can factor into quality for sure. BattleFIELD for example has both graphics, animation, and sounds (balance too?) over Call of Duty.

The new Call of Duty looks interesting and might actually have a story worth a damn for the first time in 6 years. But no, devs need to bantz with each other over "muh graphics!!!11" Just comes off as unprofessional.
I never said the devs didn't sound retarded. I'm just saying it's showing the dated engine they're still using and something that's a Triple A game with that much money pumped into it, shouldn't look like at the end of the 360 life cycle.

5595
Well hey he apologized. Nothing wrong if they apologize :^)

It's funny a game from 9 years ago is overshadowing the new one.

5597
It's not really voice acting if you're just talking.

That's not acting.

Just play Dawn of War or something to get invested in the looks/factions of it.

If you have to start with a faction you want to learn about via wiki or something, learn about the Imperium of Man since they're the most prominent.

Someone tried to teach me about the Eldar first (space elves). I've had a small dislike for it ever since.

Depends if you like heavy handed lessons about how you're a bad person for doing bad things to pixels
I think ultimately that's on how you perceive games

Of course you're going to get called a bad person for doing bad things

I'd even argue that the "bad" playthrough is more interesting just because of what it's trying to do
Agreed

for a game that comes off as innocent and silly and funny, it gets insanely dark and actually creepy.

I'd say give it a shot. It was easily one of the best games I played last year (or maybe ever) since it came out of nowhere for me and was a nice change up for a lot of things.

5606
i know exactly what you mean

it would be interesting to see how mass fetishes develop, as well--like, thigh gaps are huge right now, and like... why
Media and culture probably has a rather big influence on it. Thigh gaps though never really struck me as super sexy. I guess it's just a signal someone is in shape, or curvy.

5607
Also, of course sex is gross. The human body in general is gross. When you actually sit down and just think about how we work, or what we have in us, then yeah. Nasty.

Kept us alive and made us come out on top though, so I guess you need a little nasty~

It's a fun cheap game to play. Just ignore the fanbase or any exterior factors picking the game apart. I think you'd like it if you came in with that. The ost is really nice I think as well.

You don't "have" to love the monsters at all. You can, but you can also kill everything, or anything in between.

5610
I also read that the study showed men like the curve of the back to put ratio more than the butt itself. That has to do with the primitive thing that, when a woman is pregnant, they can be more mobile when they have the curve in their back due to the spine being able to support the weight.

Which is probably why everyone loved female butts in Halo Reach. Dat back arc.

Our brains are weird. As intelligent as we are, it is very odd indeed how the most basic things remind us that we're still animals in the end. Honestly, I find it fascinating how a race as intelligent and advanced as we've become, still abides to the most basic of basic things.

Anyone know what I mean?
