Oh yeah definitely, I wouldn't have 135 days on there if I didn't think it worked well. Although the story started to fall a bit before Heavensward, I just wish the Empire played a more prominent role instead of being something that keeps getting pushed off to the side for more FIGHT THIS AWESOME NEW DEMIGOD!

Well yeah. It's a mixture of the multiple Final Fantasies along with some classic fantasy. It all meshes pretty well actually.
The story was meh for a while but it finally picked up. It's good now.

It's YouTube. They do this all the time because they have no official terms of service. They need to sort that out, because it's unfair to so many people. Both hated, loved, and small time starting out.

It'll be back up soon.

Too bad FFXIV is just a shadow of what Ivalice is in terms of setting. Literally the Imperial Legionaries are just the Judge Magisters with different names.

They did. It's called FF 14.

You know what? I bet you if the exact same trailers had the opposite name on it  the reactions would still be the same as according to the franchise. It comes down to people just being on the CoD hate bandwagon and that's it.
Call of Duty: One would still have the same dislike ratio and every comment on Battlefield: Infinite Warfare would be "RIP CoD Blimps" and we'd all be sucking Patrick Bach's dick for the" bold inovation" of introducing space battles to the series.
I doubt it. People have been wanting a World War 2 CoD for a while now. If they went back instead of forward, I think people would like it more.

People are just sick of modern/near future/future shooters

FFXII combat was honestly some of the best in the series and I'm disappointed they didn't run with it.
They did. It's called FF 14.

I think the bed thing is too annoying. There needs to be some periodic autosave or something for a safety net, because this game crashes too often to not have it.

Heh. GG CoD.

Only about 49K more dislikes until Infinite Warfare is the most disliked video on Youtube. More than the new Ghostbusters and Justin Beiber. How embarrassing.
As in most disliked video of all time kind of disliked?
No, just video games. Nothing touches Friday or Justin Beiber's "Baby".

Still doesn't fix a lot of the problems with the game.

I don't know if they fixed it, but having a milk/nuka cola bottle filled with water, only to use it and for it to permanently disappear, is annoying.
You mean the fact that bottles aren't reusable? Doesn't make much sense, but it's more of a balance thing. You're right that the game still has plenty of problems, though, most of them in the dialogue/choices department.
I don't think it's much about balance. If survival is supposed to add realism, you should be able to keep a bottle.

The demo? Game isn't out yet.

All I know is whenever they zoom in on characters faces, the frames dip hard because there are so many damn pixels in their hair.

30fps is one thing, but having it drop below 24 (or at all in the year of our lord 2016) is annoying.
mm

What's your thoughts on it not being turn based gameplay? Or is it gonna have some turn based gameplay?
It looks interesting, but as a FF fan since I've been a kid, I'm more than worried to the direction where the series is going. It seems they feel they have to have constant action to stay "modern", when really they don't need to at all.

Fire Emblem sticks to their formula, and FF has, I feel, strayed away from it after FF 13's bad press. But the gameplay to that was fine, just the stories and characters sucked.

I'm thinking they'll do some wrong decisions for the new Final Fantasy as well. If I wanted this action/RPG thing, I'd just play Kingdom Hearts.

I dunno, seems too many. But since it takes place in Arabia at some point, I imagine we'll get some factions there. But Ottomans really cover that.

Spoiler
Quote
Medic has syringe revives

One of the maps mentioned looks HUGE--old BF style

Gameplay trailer looked similar; reveal trailer really didn't seem "facetious" in comparison

Air combat: dogfights, strafing runs, bombing runs--DICE wants there to be a lot of air options; you can sit in friend's gunner seat while they do strafing/bombing runs or dogfight

You can control battleships; can demolish shoreline (ground deformation was mentioned in another description)

Horses will be best for scouting/flanking (like bikes)

Supposed to have a new melee system

Bayonet charge ability

Can likely use sabers

Support seem like they'll have heavy machineguns

Seems like four classes will have weapons similar to what we'd expect

SP: more "open" campaign, make it feel like a "Battlefield" campaign as opposed to BF3/4 (he said it sounded more like Bad Company's campaign)

Trying to make use of battlegrounds a lot of people don't know about

Progression system wasn't confirmed; neither was weapon customization

Didn't find out if you can pilot the zeppelin/barrage, but it's not just a part of the skybox; planes flying around it

Seems very close to completion

I'm terrible at this game

I'm never good with shooters on PC ;n;
It takes time getting used to. I've noticed you can never be good with both controller and M&K. You're either use to one or the other.

Does anyone main yet?
I tend to go towards Tracer, but I'm trying to shy away from maining because that's an annoying and crutch thing to do. Some people naturally counter others, so I want to adapt.
Tracer is very hard to fight as D'va
Her best counter is Mr. High Noon and Nidhog Roadhog

It's sad when a game from 9 years ago outshines the new thing. I think people are just tired of near future/future military stuff. We've been getting it since 2007 all across the board. Everyone's been craving a Triple A WW2 shooter forever.

Battlefield just went a little further back. I'm glad though. No game with that much money thrown at it has ever been in WW1. I honestly think it's long overdue. In many ways, that war was far worse than WW2.

After Bad Company 2

Yeah, im a liiiiittle cynical but theres hardly any real gameplay of it apart from a few seconds so maybe ill be pleasantly surprised.
I think people are just happy it's not another modern/future shooter. We've had SO much since 2007 and people are just sick of them. WW1 has never really been done. You can't really blame them for being excited.
