Anyway, MMO's cost $60 too and they're only online. Same with Battlefront. Honestly I don't mind it, because what COULD the game do in single player? Nothing really. You'd be getting more bang for your buck with this game if you enjoyed it, then a LOT of $60 single player games out there.

and it's possible to take "nostalgia goggles" off when playing an old game and still conclude that it's good
I assume you mean games that release unfinished, which I would agree with. But overall, not really. I think the older you get, the more cynical you tend to get as well, so that factors into it.

Didn't feel that it was unfinished at all (yes I know we never got the final few missions. But honestly atleast we know what they were going to be), you can literally say every game has repetitive gameplay. I literally had no problems with that game, except maybe the controls were a little strange.
The two zones was fine, I was just hoping for more jungle in Africa.
The story ended on a shitty cliffhanger that was supposed to be finished but never did. And when I say repetitive gameplay, I mean running to base, infiltrating, rescuing, some meh cutscene. The other MGS's had pacing to them and an environment that changed as the story went on. MGS5 didn't have any of that. That's one of the flaws of open world games. Just the constant going here, getting that, flying away x 10000.

Halo 2 is an unfinished game but many people still love that game and consider it good.
There is a difference between ending on a cliffhanger and literally having an entire section ripped from your game.

Well, on paper, eternal pleasure in Heaven sounds pretty damn worth not jacking off for 80 years.
That does not sound worth it if you have to get your balls chopped off and go through the physical and mental pain of going through that.
Over immortality in perfection? Shit, if Heaven was real, it'd be hard to find anything not worth suffering through for it.
So, according to our doctrine, everyone will have a perfect immortal body, because of the resurrection.
Even if you 'go to hell' so to speak, you'll still get the perfect body.
Why the hell would you want to live forever in the next life anyway? That sounds like torture. If I don't die by some horrible accident or early age, and die relatively old, I'd want to actually stay dead. I'd be tired of life. Heck I already am.
