I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to my water. For example I always need Aquafina/Dasani over Deer Park, because it tastes like chlorine pool water.

But in terms of filtered, my fridge has a filter in it, so I use that.

I thought this was very interesting, considering a lot of countries that have revolutions with the current government still in play, tend to celebrate it (more so communist/cult of personality like countries).

I think it shows China doesn't really feel they need to owe to what they were founded upon, considering how batshit crazy Mao Zedong was, and just how different the country is today than it was then. And also, ya know, the mass murder.

I always find it really surreal to think that the Ottoman Empire was involved in WWI.

I mean, it's a group I always think about as existing around the 1500's and pretty much just fading out from there on, but they were a real force for a long time, I guess.

I feel the same way in thinking the Danes, a Viking faction, still exist in modern day times, and the Romans lasted around up until the 1500's. An empire that was quite literally over a thousand years old is insane. Granted it wasn't the Western Romans we come to associate it with, but instead the Byzantines (why they gave them that name because of one single city that used to be named Byzantium is beyond me, considering they themselves thought themselves as Romans), but yeah. Well yeah actually. I walked in on my next door neighbor to say goodbye to her right before she passed. It was a few days before she passed but cancer got to her real bad, so she was delusional, looking around, moaning. It was actually really hard to see when she was always so wise and cheerful.

I feel sorry for her partner though, really. She had to go through all that.
