i can't even make it past the first line of any of these
No kidding. I hate the orange text. I really wish I could freaking change it without having to annoyingly highlight everything.

Canned water is a real thinh from real cold war era boston. It was actually given out and looked similar to that in game.
Otherwise, I imagine some changes in art direction come from one of the senior artists passing away after FO3's release. He was responsible for a lot of FO3 stuff like the Enclave's PA.
Oh really? That's kinda sad

So Verb you're basically doing it to show how other people act like it (since you said PC guys do it all the time)? Yeah, I can understand the annoyance in that. Like I said, anyone who does that "lol has no games" crap and is legitimately serious about it, needs to die. It seems to be like the console superiority mindset is just a way for people to make themselves feel better about their (parents) purchase. Also sorry for the late reply, I had to take care of some student loan stuff. Anyway, I'm glad to see you've discovered the utility of chopping up posts. Every once in a while Anyway, I don't feel like addressing all the points you threw at me since it seems other did when I was afk. Simply put, whatever games you prefer on whichever console has them is perfectly fine. It seems you were on about exclusives though, which is something that Xbone has all but gotten rid of it seems (not a fan of exclusives). See for me, I love Total War games as you've seen before. That and other things that I can't get on console, hence why I enjoy it a lot more.

It has no games. Everyone who thinks it does just has shit taste.
Can you please explain this? I'm really trying to wrap my head around this statement. Do you perhaps mean exclusives? I can just look on Steam/Origin and see hundreds upon hundreds of games. Otherwise Idk, this sounds like a trolling comment to you. It's not like you to just say "if you don't agree you have shit tastes" when it comes to something like this.

Okay I'm back and kinda scrolled through that argument. Yeah, not having that conversation for the 60th time. I'd just like to say that picture of Necropolis as compared to how Fallout 3 looked is a good comparison yeah.
I was looking at FO 1/2 in game pictures as well, and I feel NV keeps more true to it than any other Fallout game. 3 I like it because it captured the 50's look. NV obviously for what it did.
I dunno, just didn't like it with 4 as much. I'd argue the only things I did like that I felt captured it was the diners that looked like something you'd see from the 50's. And I know it's like, the most miniscule thing to complain about, but I don't like how they changed the look of items in 4. Nuka Cola looks stupid now (I honestly preferred when it was just Coke), the med-kit packs look stupid and not like the cool square ones, the water looks insanely weird, etc.
It's just small things that build up. I also think just Boston as a location is insanely boring in this game too. It didn't feel nearly as engaging to me as Fallout 3 did for a lot of reasons. Maybe because the Metro's are missing? I always honestly enjoyed the creepy ambiance that stuff gave off. It just felt more... idk, grounded in reality to me. More immersive. I can't really explain it.

I'd also like to mention that people who legit have this superiority/inferiority complex over which is better, probably need to get over themselves and realize they're video games at the end of the day. Hearing stuff like "console plebs" or "pc master race", or whatever retarded slogans spawn, is annoying.

Better games is the #1 reason. Console actually has games. So does PC I value the tactile sensation of opening a game case, sliding a disc in, pushing a button, hearing a beep and a whir, sitting down on my couch, controller in my hand, and playing a video game. You don't get that on PC. That doesn't make consoles better, it just makes it your preference, which is perfectly fine. "You can hook up your PC to your television and download a program that lets you use gamepads."
I shouldn't have to do any of that--and even if I could be assed to learn Yeah, you don't buy a PC to sit on your couch and play. Idk why they try so hard for that. Anyone who gets a gaming console knows what they're in for anyway. Same with consoles. I still have to pirate all the games I want to play. Which is wrong. It's a possibility, but that's not true. Just because something is there, doesn't mean everyone does it, and it shouldn't alter your opinion on the actual markets available on PC. At the end of the day you'll get more bang for your buck with a PC since steam sales are insane, though I'm pleased to see MS and Sony do summer sales, and the free games they've done recently. Paying $60 a year for online makes me feel you deserve said games. At the end of the day, the PC is objectively a stronger and more versatile system, but in the end it comes to who you want to play with, along with the kind of thing you're looking for. If you're looking for strong indie games or top of the line graphics, along with mods for RPG's, RTS's, etc, then the PC is probably for you. If you're looking to play games with friends on a couch, have easy to connect to parties/online, along with playing exclusives, then the console is probably for you. Both have their advantages and disadvantages, and I would argue consoles are actually getting more focus from devs than PC is in a lot of regards. But to say the PC has no games is false. I don't know where you're really getting that from. You can like one more than the other all you like, but don't go saying things like they're objectively factual things.

The power of glamors though!
Also, have you seen the Lore Tome gear for healers? I mean I'd never have that shit not glamored but that's mostly because once I finally get WHM to 50, I'll just have the WHM job gear on because it looks cute.
I'm just glad FF 14 doesn't abide by the less clothing = more armor rule. Probably because they wanna be taken more seriously. Link me a pic

Just for this video, I'm gonna glamour the Cascadier Uniform onto my FFXIV character and keep it like that until I finish collecting all my High Allagan sets (so basically never).

Then you just don't like the aesthetic of the Fallout franchise. There's nothing wrong with that, but 4 is far truer to the feel of the series than 3 was. 3 was just a generic destroyed metropolis, something you might see in Killzone. 4's changes to the buildings, guns, nuka cola bottles, etc, are all in the vein of retrofuturism. They're not supposed to look realistic, Fallout's art style has never been about realism.
I see where you're coming from, though, you should check out The Last Of Us if you haven't played that yet. That's a realistic post-apocalyptic game, unlike the Fallout series.
You are.... COMPLETELY missing the point of what I am saying. I'm not saying the series is realistic. I love Fallout. I'm saying the way THEY CHANGED THE DESIGN ON THINGS BOTHERS ME, AND THE LOCATION OF FALLOUT 4 IS NOT THAT INTERESTING. And sorry last I checked, the buildings that were destroyed in every Fallout game before 4 that weren't super science like, looked like typical 1950's buildings. It's supposed to have that retro 1950's sci-fi feel to it. Fallout 4 doesn't.

I'm really having trouble getting back into this game. It's just so damn boring. It's not bad, just BORINGGGGGGGG. I listened to a Fallout 3 song in 4 and it made me realize how much I loved that world, and aesthetic much more. NV plays into that too.
This game though, idk. It just bores me.
Go back eight years ago and you'd be saying the exact same shit about 3. People just love to hate what's popular.
4 is objectively better than 3, in every way. NV is better than 4, though, I'll give you that.
I'm not talking about gunplay, or graphics. I'm aware that's better. I said aesthetic, and location, along with the music in general. I liked it all better when I played Fallout 3 first, as opposed to playing Fallout 4 when it first came out. The location is piss boring to me. In fact the only compliment I'd give it is the verticality they did in the cities. But things like how the guns look? The buildings? The way they changed the nuka cola, medkit packs, water, literally everything? No, I don't like it in the slightest. In fact I'd argue the guns look like they were designed by a 5 year old. At least 3's guns looked like something real, and rather creative. 4's just look so stupid to me. Fallout NV plays into this too since it uses the same items and art style and models.

Lucy's character is intentionally a grimy whore
Oh
Is your name Lucy? Are you a chick with blue hair and blue eyes here that runs around naked whacking others? No?
Then this isn't about you.
It was a joke, but okay.

Tried it for a bit. Issue is if you're going female, the character creator is a little buggy. Couldn't change the color of my eyes or hair, or mess with the body scale.

you can just read it, if you can't even stand to see her face/hear her voice
But yeah, would you happen to know the general consensus of Quiet from MGS fans? Do they support Kojima's great justification for her design, or were people upset about it? I wouldn't be surprised if they actually considered it well-done, or even poignant.
I don't think most are upset, but I'm sure a majority of them know she's just cheap fanservice and not that strong of a character in the slightest. Though I do think the way they handled her ending, when she actually SHOWED character, was perfectly fine. That's my head canon ending to the game anyway and not that stupid cliffhanger cut off.

You'd think Kojima in all of his writing wisdom would have not sold out to something so cheap.
its kojima
stop acting surprised
I'm more so surprised at his drop off from his writing of Peace Walker which is arguably just as good, if not better than 3 in terms of story. But he also lost his co-writer too, so that could explain a lot.

As a hard core Metal Gear fan though, and all the silly things it's done, even in the favor of Fanservice (Johnny and his butt), I will say that seeing a character as shallow and appealing to the lowest common denominator as Quiet, really bothers me. You'd think Kojima in all of his writing wisdom would have not sold out to something so cheap.
But that game and the development with it was all a mess from the get go anyway.
But I'm probably off topic. I'll maybe watch later.

I remember the last time a thread like this was made, I posted a long and well thought out post, that Verb never replied to. Though from other posts, he more or less was in agreement with me due to others saying some of the same stuff I said, and he agreed to them.
the last anita thread i made was this one, and this was your response, correct?
you're right, i didn't respond, because i didn't have a problem with anything you said it was thorough, well-written, and you made good, reasonable points
i don't always disagree with you, you know
Yes but sometimes positive reinforcement helps
