I don't understand why people don't abstain from the vote. Go register, and if you don't agree with either of the choices, abstain.

People say abstaining is retarded, but it's far better alternative to voting for your polar opposite. At least if there's a majority of abstentions, it shows the parties that frankly, the public don't like either of them and need to get their act together.

Not voting is lazy, emotionally charged voting/spite-voting is retarded; Abstaining shows you are unhappy with the system, and want a new one.
I do not vote. I am not even registered to vote. I chose to never register because I disagree with the two-party system. I thought that was a pretty good option. My not-voting isn't out of laziness, but as a matter of opposition to the current system. If someone is registered to vote already, then I agree with abstaining.
Wouldn't making your voice heard be more effective if you voted Libertarian in the year they probably have the biggest chance to make an impact? Hearing what Das said about it was pretty powerful.

"My candidate on the one extreme of the political spectrum isn't going to win so I'm going to vote for the complete opposite just to spite those who didn't do what I did" is quite possibly one of the stupidest things I've ever heard. Literally who would do this?
I actually know quite a few people doing this. I just pointed it out in another thread. I just had a conversation with a friend a couple of months ago about this and finally talked him down from it (he supported Bernie).

I'd honestly argue that people who do that aren't in it for Bernie Sanders ideals and policies at all. They're in it for the simple fact someone is making a ruckus, and since he lost, they're just going to the other guy causing a ruckus.

Supporting Trump is stupid, but violence from or against either side is absolutely despicable.
Agreed. Idiots, all of them. Seeing those protesters gang up on Trump supporters in California made me sick to my stomach.

A reminder that America is (I think) the only industrizliazed first world country that doesn't guarantee healthcare, and criminalizes people for feeding the homeless in quite a few states.

The country that has the best case of human rights or "freedom" last I checked is New Zealand or something.

I guess I'm going to start Far Harbour tomorrow of Alien Isolation doesn't arrive and my season pass hasn't been revoked. Anything I should know?

Take Valentine. It's worth it.

Also do side quests. They actually matter.
I only did like the very opening, but yeah. It's detective work. You basically HAVE to take him.

Some of the later conversations and whatnot are a lot cooler if Nick is there. Seeing as I never really used Nick befoee FH, I was surprised by how much I liked hin. I never found him particularly endearing in the main game but taking him as a companion for the DLC really made my experience a lot better.
I'll make sure to do that.

Haven't bought one since FIFA 13, so it's okay.

Between June 2014 and March 2016 I had no platform to play video games on.

I will say though, anyone who's violently attacking anyone in support of their candidate is unacceptable. We've seen Trump supporters do it, we've seen Bernie supporters do it. It's all awful.

People need to understand that freedom of speech and expression is a two way street, and just because you may not like the traffic on the other side, you shouldn't suddenly pull a Black Lives Matter, and just block all the damn lanes.

I will say I feel there is an extent to what you should say and express, and I'm honestly not surprised at both sides coming to violence. Not when you're stroking racial tensions.

typically i need more than one reason not to vote for somebody, especially if it's just over a meme issue
Single issue voters are shallow and stupid

I wonder how many of Hillary's likes and retweets are from bots?
Not much I'd gather. She's loved and hated and did a meme post with the whole "delete this", so you know the neckbeards freaked.

What I said has nothing to do with liking or disliking  and has everything to do with not supporting someone until after the convention so you can stop trying to put words into my mouth.

Her people that are in control of the DNC did bully and manipulate people throughout this election cycle. They've organized things from the beginning to give the election to Hillary and they weren't going to allow any of the other candidates to show her up like Obama did. They deliberately planned their debates in a way that would limit the exposure of other democratic candidates and they've got their cohorts in the media to include the super delegates into the total counts in order to disenfranchise voters who don't want Hillary. Not to mention the hurdles that have gone up in multiple states in order to limit the ability for groups that are less likely to vote for Hillary to have their voices heard.

Pressuring Obama into giving support to her before the convention despite previously refusing to support anyone is something that's right up their alley. If you believe that Hillary and the DNC aren't corrupt you're honestly naive.
I'm well aware they set this up to be Hillary's coronation. I've said before that I don't even know if I'm voting Dem because of how they rigged things from the debates, to them declaring Hillary the winner in Iowa before even 50% of the votes came in.

I was specifically talking about Obama in this case (so I wasn't trying to put words in your mouth). I honestly believe Obama thinks she's far better than the other option, and Obama is in a better position to hurt Hillary instead of helping her, so I don't think she could exactly manipulate him this time around.

Hah. Wow. That's a massive fuck up. I'm lucky that I've never been banned from Xbox. At least they compensated for you.
It was a big thing when I did it. I'm surprised they didn't detect the bullshit.

If they ever knew what I did, they would reset my gamerscore to zero and have my zone say "Cheater" but since this was on Games for Windows Live, they have no proof.
No I'm talking about when Minecraft first released on the 360. I was still on xbox

So Obama even knows this, yet endorses her? Alright.

Hillary and her people control the party right now, they probably finally got him to break after he refused to give his support to anyone for the longest time.
Nah. It's been 8 years ago since their fight. They worked for 4 together in the white house, and then Hillary supported him for another 4.

And Obama wants her far more than Trump because he knows she can actually be serious and doesn't think Trump will at all. You make it sound like she's some grand wizard manipulating people or bullying them or something. It's as simple as the alternative being far far worse.

If it was someone like Kasich, I bet you this entire cycle would be different.

I want the "Treyarch is good" meme to die. They literally just reskin whatever the other company makes and they somehow get praise for being "innovative". WaW was just a reskinned MW, BLOPs was just a reskinned MW2, BLOPS2 was just a reskinned MW3, there is no denying this.

-Treyarch has become the only CoD developer worth playing.  When every other year, a non-BLOPS game comes out, it's shit.
MW3 was the only literal reskin. When the game would crash the game would say "MW2 has stopped working."
Really? Lol

I remember getting Minecraft on the 360 and then lying to them and saying I didn't have an HD TV, so I couldn't split screen. They didn't put it in the game description so they had to, so I kept the game and got my money back.

They say that because the multiplayer isn't a massively broken down piece of shit, and the story is actually worth something playing to enjoy. A villain in Black Ops 2 (Manendez) was more fleshed out than Makarov who had 2 games to develop, and he had no character whatsoever other than "lol me loco", along with the plot hole infestation that is MW2/3.

That and Ghosts was a huge recession in terms of MP.
