Seems Democrats are taking the stance on better gun control and Republicans are blasting radical islamic terrorism.
Can't it be both?
Where are you, Gary Johnson?
Do you really think the libertarian is going to suddenlt call for gun control as a reaction
No, but I would hope he doesn't use the blood of 50+ people as a means to push politics. It's sickening.

I'm really disappointed in Obama. I really bought into the whole hope and change thing. I really thought he'd make things better.
Never again.
And it only took you until he had 6 more months left in office.
Because I understand he was being cockblocked by republicans whenever he wanted to do something good. He had a lot of opposition.
But when it comes down to it, daily life is still the same. That's what really makes you lose hope. After 8 years of hope and change there's no hope and no change for the everyday man. It's still the same people with all the money and everybody else slaves away for $1,000 a month. And he did nothing to change what is pretty much modern day slavery to jew bankers.
I knew the presidency was bought and paid for since before I was born. But I thought maybe, just maybe he could bring a change.
Seems you're going off the deep end No one man can make a change, and even then, change doesn't come that quick. At least not usually.

One didn't happen and was a government plot. Are you talking about Sandy Hook? You don't really believe that do you?
There are three crazy things I mostly believe in.
Australian government carried out Port Arthur and blamed a mentally challenged man Sandy Hook kids never existed Robert LaVoy Finicum was murdered by federal agents in Oregon. He was not cross-drawing a second handgun.
seeing as how nobody is with you on the sandy hook thing, it would seem a lot more productive to just assume it happened, if only for the sake of discussion--and then you can go back to being incorrect when the discussion is over
unless your goal is to trigger people or something
Fine. Lanza was an anxiety ridden, anorexic, aspie who had no treatment for years for what was probably undiognosed schizophrenia.
Wasn't there a study showing that people with mental illnesses don't make up a majority of the shootings in the slightest?

Totally a gun problem
You realize Christians here say the same stuff, right?
So there are ten Christian countries that punish homosexuality with death and agree with it en masse?
No. I'm saying Christians in the US have said the same thing, so to bring up a video of an Islamic American saying the same stuff a Christian American would say, is rather silly. You'll hear no argument from me that almost every Middle Eastern country is barbaric. I personally think religion in general is quick to condemn anything that doesn't fit into their definition of "right".
Except this is an Imam from Orlando spreading widely held beliefs among Muslims. Christianity and Islam don't compare when you stop with the bullshitting and look at them in practice. Christianity doesn't have multiple terrorists groups killing people in the west. This isn't a one-off shooting spree. This was an islamic based terror attack from an American born Muslim of Afghani parents who pledged himself to ISIS before he murdered 50+ lgbt people. So to say that he, the shooter or the Imam, said "the same stuff a Christian American would say" is nothing short of ignorance.
I understand what you're saying, but you make it sound like the two are directly connected, which I don't think is the case at all. ISIS is a batshit crazy organization, we get that, but I don't think you can say they represent the entire religion. and no, I'm not saying 'religion of peace' before people jump on me. At this point I think American Muslims are probably one of the few who aren't completely ass backwards due to American assimilation and all that. and as for the Obama thing you linked, I am rather annoyed he's calling for gun control when he pledged to ISIS.

If he pledged to ISIS since 2013, I'm wondering why they didn't stop this.
because stupid fucking liberals want to coddle refugees and muslims.
I don't think that's the case when it comes to the US government and people on terrorist radars.

I find it odd how when mass shootings happen, nothing needs to change/we have a gun conversation and nothing changes, yet when someone does it for ISIS (or radical terrorism in general), suddenly we those same people saying not much needs to change WANT to take drastic action.
Because we like our guns. We don't like Islam.
That's stupid considering our guns kill more Americans per year than terrorism ever has against us.
Disconnected urban youth with no visible future besides gang violence and an a shackling to an inescapable welfare scheme kill people. There's more firearms than people in my house. Not a one has killed anybody.
Same here, and that's because not everyone is going to shoot to kill people. But what about all the other mass shootings across the country? I don't think all of them were what you just described.

Stark difference being that gays aren't killed in the droves by the WBC.
I'm not just talking about the WBC.

I'm not sure what else needs to be clarified. The shooter is a Muslim and his motives are pretty transparent. What exactly do you expect is going to come to light here? That he was actually a Buddhist this whole time?
That'd be shocking lol.
No I'm just hearing conflicting reports is all. Plus at this point, I'm more sad that it happened like this.
Links to the reports?
It was a twitter feed from them saying they're not sure if it was, but obviously now it's more than clear. If he pledged to ISIS since 2013, I'm wondering why they didn't stop this.

It doesn't surprise me though that this group of all groups jumps on the Muslim train for it. Let's at least wait and see what happened before we blame the rag heads again.
Killing the gays, one mass shooting at a time.
It's already been elucidated that the shooter is a Muslim and specifically targeted a gay nightclub due to his disdain of homosexuality after witnessing two men kissing.
But whatever, I guess people's legitimate concerns can be swept under the rug as "jumping on the Muslim train" as per.
Nah, I just want the full story before I blame things in a knee jerk reaction is all. I'm not doing the whole "religion of peace" you're so ready to pin on me.

How many more mass shootings is it going to take before the US realizes it has a gun problem?...Oops my bad I forgot gun control is on the same level of evil as Hitler and Stalin.
The argument would just be "if the victims had guns it'd have never happened"

Get ready to hear the same tiresome rhetoric all over again.
"Islam is peaceful"
"Islam doesn't have a problem with homosexuality"
"You're a racist meanie if you suggest otherwise"
"TERRURIZM HAZ NO reLIEgion"
Perhaps we'll also get a guy covering John Lennon's "imagine" in the streets of Orlando too? I'd love to see more useless solutions to this problem.
Do you have a useful solution to this problem?
We have no choice
From what I've read, the shooter was born here.
Yeah, which means we're 30 years too late on this.
I can't tell if you're serious, but if you are then hush.

No, but there are a few memebers who should.
Would saying who these people are technically be "calling them out?"
I wouldn't consider that "calling them out" I'm pretty sure that rule only applies to threads, and even then the rule has been rather lax recently.
Actually on second thought I am possibly the reason Elegiac doesn't really post anymore. I do not feel guilty.
What'd you do?
He got angry at me for another member posting in a thread that no one liked him not even me, and then he went off and shared some personal information about me that I had shared with him in private message and asked him not to share. Mind you I had not commented once in said thread and had been offline. So I reported him to the mods and got him banned.
Then I became a mod and he slowly but surely stopped posting.
That's weird

I'm just upset they changed the Rocket Launcher to that ugly green bazooka, only to re-add the original back in recently. Or something like that. That's the info Tru's been feeding me.

Elegiac was being a creep, so whatever it is that Kits did, he had it coming.
Pretty sure she told him to fuck off, or something along the lines of that.
Oh wait is he the one that always hit on the females? I think I remember him.

what was that really cringy one from a few years back, where they kept making forced jokes and shit and it was incredibly awkward for everyone?
I'd only go to one if it were like that
That was when they were doing it on stream only in a small studio and it was Geoff Keyley and some celebrity I forget the name of. The following year he did the VGA's we know now out of his own money because he felt it deserved something better.

It accomplishes making people realize the truth about something.
Which is, like, kind of important.
And if you fail at that like I always do?
Get better at arguing.
This
not every argument has to end in insults
That's the other problem. I can never find the right words to even get better at arguing. Its like what I want to say is in my head, but when I try to speak I can't even muster it. Or even write it in this case.
The idea is there but the words aren't. If that even makes any sense.
I do, but it's just something you need to improve on then.
I don't even know where to begin to even improve on that note.
There are a lot of ways you can do that. A lot of times you can enter a debate/argument with someone and ask for info on something (if you genuinely don't know. not for proof of something a lot of times) and just learn about something. I feel you're thinking too hard on it.

Friends come and go though. People grow up to have different interests. It's the same way relationships can have a falling out.
You know the saying. Friends come and go, but family lasts forever.
