I honestly hate it because of Team Galactic. What an uninspired piece of shit faction. Also I think the music is okay. Cynthia's theme is the only one that really jumped out at me.

Black and White easily has the best soundtrack I've heard in the entire series, from the trainers, to Team Plasma, to your rival (N), and the Elite 4. I'd argue it's the best Elite 4 theme in the game, with Hoenn being a close 2nd.

I agree with Verb here. Spreading our influence is the last thing the universe needs.
Kinda goes against humanity as a whole

MLK is a good example. It may not always have been peaceful (look at Malcom X), but if your overall message is peace through love, tolerance, and justice, it is not a bad message.

Putin warned the West of war because of NATO's actions towards Russia. But all of you are too brainwashed to see that.
Yeah they invaded Georgia because of Nato.

So my friend Cindo bo Bindo said this

Quote
Niantic shot themselves in the foot and basically took away the last remaining fun things about the game

Tracking hasn't worked for about three weeks, so a lot of people turned to third party sites so they could, you know, still play the game. Well Niantic wasn't happy about that, so instead of fixing their tracking system so that people could enjoy the game the way it was meant to be played, they removed tracking altogether. This made the third party sites obsolete (they also probably threw some cease and desists around) and makes tracking around pokemon all but completely impossible. The only indicator of being closer to a pokemon is that it will move up on the "nearby" list, but that list is shit at updating and pokemon have really low despawn times.

And of course, not content with just that, they've also decreased the total area in which you can detect pokemon by over 50%, making "wandering around aimlessly with a sorta kinda general idea of a pokemon maybe being close" even more difficult because you've gotta be so much closer. This also fucks with lures, because now you can't just sit down at a pokestop and enjoy chatting with your friends while a lure is up, because the pokemon that spawn at the lure might not even register until you're running around in circles.

On top of this, they've also removed XP rewards for nice/great/excellent throws, because that was just too much actual gameplay to have in a game, and it's likely that they've made pokemon even HARDER to catch as your level increases. People have been saying that 100cp pidgeys will bust out of three great balls and then run off.

So pokemon go was never a very good pokemon game, but now it's not a good scavenger hunt game either. There's no point to it. It's completely unplayable.

Ingress players tried to warn us about this

Quote
It is completely unplayable, though. I mean, it stills functions, but there's nothing about it that really "plays" anymore. You can't hunt pokemon, gyms are pointless and full of spoofers, you can't train your pokemon, there's nothing to do besides leave it on while you're off for a walk and hope that something pops up on your radar.

And if you live in a rural area, fucking forget about it. It's shit enough in the suburbs, but in rural areas it's pretty much impossible to find anything but rats and pigeons.

Gotta agree. I remember someone here saying when they hit level 20 that Pokemon were always breaking free and you more or less had to just use berries to capture them, or they'd always run off, and you more or less have to pay for pokeballs by that point.

Dictator is always more preferable I think to a power vacuum where anarchy and chaos consistently always seem to crop up. It's the lesser of two evils.

Last night was the best Republican convention I've seen yet.
yeah I masturbated all the way through it
Really though, it is fucking baffling to see the Democrats being the ones quoting Reagan, saying this country is already amazing, waving flags, chanting "USA USA!", and talking about religion.

Those are ALL REPUBLICAN THINGS and have been for the last 30 years. But Reagan's movement has been blown up and it's now a worker party with a pessimistic Democrat leading them. And now the Democrats look like the JFK Democrats of the 60's.

We could be seeing a fundamental shift with this.

Solitary confinement has recently been seen as a form of torture.
Would you call it a fate worse than death? That's why I asked.
Depends on how you serve the death. If it's quick and painless, yes. If it's something like being burned alive or suffocating for minutes, then no.

whats the difference? Dying is dying. If you're gonna kill someone because they're unfit for society and has done something sooooooo horrible shouldnt they get the worst fate possible?
Because one is a mercy and the other is a torture.

If they're getting their life taken away does it really matter?
If you're looking at it from an ends justifies the means perspective, no. If you're looking at it from a more ethical and humane perspective, yes.

The conventions are officially over, and the General Election has begun.

Debate 1 in just under 2 months
Longest general election cycle since... 1960's or 70's I heard. Should be fun (which means it's gonna be annoying).

Because one is a mercy and the other is a torture. You could argue doing the same exact thing to them (torturing), makes you no better than the killer. Do you want revenge or retribution?

SAO suffers from edgy OP protag who can always overpower things simply for the sake of overpowering.

And then Asuna, the character that could have had some interesting things going for her since she had SOME depth, was mostly reduced to just a princess peach/zelda tier girl who got raped on more than one occasion.

She was fine until she romanced with Kirito, thus proving once more, that anime is SHIT.

So after the DNC beat the RNC in viewings (ratings) every night so far, the Donald is asking people to not watch Hillary's acceptance speech after boasting he got the biggest ratings in history.

Seems a little petty and childish.
