Does anyone here run a full playthrough with less than 6 pokemon? I always did a full party, but with Omega Ruby, maybe I should try 3 or 4 instead? It just seems hard to cover some things.

I'm friends with a few guys in that protest. The dogs weren't sanctioned by the police. The company called in attack dog training companies to do it. They just unleashed the dogs, until someone realized that this is 2016 and every cell phone was recording it.

They already bulldozed something like 3 burial grounds, without notice. The tribes didn't get to reinter their dead. The graves were just dug through.

On top of it all, the type of pipeline being built isn't the safest, and it goes dead center over the aquifer that supplies the tribes water.

Yeah, this is ugly

If what you're saying is true then this is infuriating and indefensible. I hope the tribe can see some justice for whatever damage was done to humanity's cultural heritage and to the safety of their community.
They're Native American tribes getting fucked by companies and the Feds. Do you REALLY think they'll get justice? No.

We can apologize all we want about how we fucked them over, but this is a perfect example of how those apologies just make us feel better about ourselves while they continue to get fucked.

i don't make you upset with my opinions, do i

you seem more like the roll your eyes and move on type
Lol

You know me well. Yeah that's pretty much what I do. Only time I've ever got offended was in another group when someone said mixed kids are scum of the earth basically, considering I am mixed (even though I look white).

This has been covering my news feed for at least a week now. Basically the oil company is bulldozing through a reservation and areas the locals consider to he sacred land. Hundreds of protesters showed up, and the oil company responded with force that included unleashing attack dogs on pregnant women and kids. Then the oil company basically just kept going.

So a lot of people are pretty pissed off about it.
Wait what? How is that even allowed.

PS4's launch did well because Xbox's marketing made people NOT want it and PS4's was riding on that.
That's an excellent point

If you don't think Xbone got shit on for its less than stellar debut appearance which was nothing but TV, and issue with the online 24/7 thing/cloud data, idk what to tell you

Doesn't excuse that PS4 is stupid
Like, at launch or now? Because both consoles lacked games. PS4 is retarded now and Xbox is actually making strides.

But either way they're both meh choices

like our presidential candidates xDXDXD

You're right, but I was more so referring to just the press release and opinion of the consoles. Xbone got dogged hard for a while, but hats off to them for saving (?) it.

Sony it seems is doing everything in its power to ruin the PS4.

Beat Pokemon X

the Elite 4 was meh, but that ending with the parade, the music, and the pokemon popping up to the king was actually PRETTY freaking well done. I actually teared up during it. First and last time a Pokemon game probably does that lol.

The ending and its song made up for a lot of the end run for me.

Sony had this generation in the bag. Now with this and the PS4 Pro event they seem to be slipping.
It's been a thing where Microsoft had a shitty console launch and Sony had an amazing one

and ever since then they've been going in opposite directions, with MS improving theirs, and Sony only hurting their own.

« on: September 09, 2016, 03:15:52 PM »
No.

It's the worst in the series for more than a few reasons. The main character and supporting cast are shit, it takes the assassin out of Assassins Creed, the frames chop up during cutscenes more than you'd like, and a whole bunch of things.

AC 4 is better in every way.

The thing is though, in Pokemon X it's likely that he didn't kill himself

Pokemon X: That's right! I shall grant you eternal life! I'll give you the pain of endlessly waiting for a beautiful world to finally be built
Pokemon Y: The ultimate weapon is a flower that bloomed to no avail... Just like me... But this ends here! I will show what its remaining power can do!

He probably gave himself immortality, like AZ which really doesn't make sense to me because I thought his plan was to kill Humans off to create his beautiful world - firing the weapon would have probably made everyone immortal, thus ruining his plan.

He could have been such a good villain if he got much better development

That's an interesting take on it

The only thing I like about them remotely is their leader, and even then he doesn't compare to someone like Cyrus. Well, sort of.

Though idk why he decided to kill himself in the end. Now it's off to the Elite 4 with me.
Oh, you're much farther than I thought. What's your team?
Delphox, Starmie, Hawlucha, Garchomp, Absol, Aurorus.

I also wasn't a fan of the final bit of Team Flare because you had to just fight 4 people in a very lazy fight.

So I've been powering through Pokemon X so I can play Omega Ruby

and uhh, the little flashback story of that small pokemon and that guy was... surprisingly sad. And the cutscene was a pleasant surprise.

I swear though, I don't know who is worse. Team Plasma or Flare. They're both so painfully bland, but I think Flares music is worse.
Honestly, no team has been spectacular, but Team Flare was definitely a new low for me. Without spoiling, there's a good reason they're widely considered to be the worst overall.

As dumb as they can get, you can usually point to at least one or two things that are pretty cool about each team. Team Magma/Aqua had the most harebrained motivations in the series, but their over-the-top dialogue and general stupidity made them funny as hell. Team Galactic had those dopey-looking designs, but Cyrus was awesome, and is probably the most sympathetic villain in the series (to me, anyway). Team Plasma's motives were interesting, if hypocritical--because the ethics of Pokémon battling had never been tackled as a subject matter before.

Team Flare... I can honestly say there wasn't a thing about them that I found remotely redeeming, let alone interesting.

The Beta ends tomorrow, so I don't think we're getting that map.

this is a promo as much as it is a beta test

if dice thinks extending it will help sell their product, they will likely extend it

http://www.cnn.com/2016/09/07/politics/iran-cash-payments-congress-hearing/index.html

Quote
The Obama administration made two additional cash payments totaling $1.3 billion, after delivering $400 million to Iran by plane in January, to resolve a failed arms deal, administration officials told lawmakers Tuesday.

That cash payment was made in January on the same day Iran released four American prisoners and formally implemented the nuclear deal. The money was flown in a plane to Iran on wooden pallets stacked with various currencies to resolve a dispute between the two countries stemming from a failed arms deal made before the Islamic Revolution in 1979 that toppled the Shah.

When the nuclear deal was implemented in January, the Obama administration announced that it agreed to pay $1.7 billion to settle the decades old dispute, although officials didn't say when or how the payments were made until now.
Chalk it up as another failure for the Obama foreign policy
