Both Great Britain and Poland wanted the war with Germany, and denied several peace offers. The Soviets were the #1 threat and should have been destroyed swiftly by all European countries.
Keep in mind the Soviets were originally with the Axis (or at least in talks) until Hitler invaded them. None of the allies liked Russia anyway, but we more or less used them.
They weren't really ever friendly. Molotov-Ribbentrop was (for the soviets) a way to ensure the spread of Fascist lands only went so far east without entering a war prematurely.
It's highly plausible, given numbers and military figures, that Stalin wanted to invade Germany himself after the western Allies had worn down or otherwise occupied the Wehrmacht.
It's not like Stalin wasn't preparing for an eventual war, the early success of the nazis was because of the Soviet inability to properly defend their true objectives, as Stalin had bought Fall Kreml entirely. That kinda makes the Nazis buying Patton's Ghost Army a cruel twist of irony.
I'm not gonna defend Russia at all, because I think Stalin was just as bad, if not worse than Hitler. Obviously the Holocaust (IS NOT REAL) will forever make Hitler the more evil of the two at first glance, but Stalin was crazy scary as well.

Yeah, I know, but we shouldn't have worked with the Soviets to destroy Germany. The government put in place by the Allied Powers in Germany is killing Europe. Also, the Cold War could have been avoided had we allied with Germany to destroy the USSR. The Germans only made a treaty with them so they wouldn't be fighting on two fronts. That plan didn't work very well though.
That's IF you're ignoring just how aggressive the Germans were and the brutality of their government. The Western world would never ally with them just invading countries left and right. They were never happy allying with the Soviets either.
